Great creativity and a refreshing use of imagination, just wondering what speaker/amplifier set up is used for the Chrome Browser vs Sound experiment?

Chrome is btw awesome, like all the Google products! 60% of all my computer time involves Google products! (and well 100% of mobile time because of android)

It took about a few hundredths of a second to load this page. It took a thousandth to load the YouTUBE Video. Thumbs up if GOogle chrome is awesome and you're using it right now.
I love using Google chrome on my Macbook when using windows. BUT, in my experience, Safari on the Mac side of my Macbook is faster than chrome. There is Safari for windows, but for some reason, after a month of having it installed, it takes forever to open and run.

@PearLDrummeR1871 you dont have to have a rediculous amount of ram to run fast, i run an 8 core machine on 8gb of ram thats not much, also have a dual core on 1gb and all of my machines run faster than a gaming rig. tesed with benchmarks
@thepsit Nah. The files are already stored on the Hard drive. This is only testing rendering speed. In simpler terms, how fast the computer can "draw" the page. It doesn't take a fast computer to load a web page fast. Just a fast browser. If this looks fast for you, you might want to get off of FireFox or Internet Explorer, and get Chrome.
@TazG2000 Download speeds are completely different as it has to deal with your connection. However, browsers all have a different configuration, and javascript on speeds; how many requests to send per a page. How quick to access and use cache, and much more. And I've tried just about every browser (luna, FF, IE, Saf, Opera etc.) and Google Chrome takes less than a second on a 25mb connection, and about 15 seconds for 1 minute of video to load. With IE, it take much longer.

all of this effort and logistics, yet when viewed frame by frame, the browser clearly has a head start in 2 of the 3 sequences. obviously, these aren't meant to be quantitative benchmark demonstrations, but with so much attention to detail and so many professional eyes involved, i'm disappointed to see the lack of attention to the synchronization of the triggers. =/

I think what people are saying is that page rendering speeds are highly dependent on what the browser has in cache (which is where most of your most viewed websites are rendering from, not necessarily a "fresh" download each time you call the page).
Looks like a few pieces of wood, probably without knots in them otherwise it would fly apart. Appears to be attached to a 1/2 or 3/4 horsepower motor which looked like it came from a polishing wheel or grinder wheel looking at the frame.
Keep in mind that blocks of wood running around at 3400 RPM can become objects that, if broken loose will inflict damage. Use good screws, not drywall screws.
As far as color, pickup some paint swatches at the hardware store and go from there.
Who the heck in the company got the idea of doing this? Throwing out money for a tesla? Of course, it's no big deal for such a big company, but just the idea...

Actually they loaded Pandora page from web, other "tests" were stored on PC itself. They mentioned that in actual test video description. Direct quote: "Chrome Browser vs. Sound:
We loaded an artist page from Pandora.com, a streaming internet radio service directly off the web on a 15Mbps internet connection." :)
i can't help but think this video is a piss take of the arty farty directors out there. my favourite lines "what could you hit quickly to make a blast *sigh* then along came the keytar, and everything changed from there on" you might be mistaken if you thought he was talking about something important. pretentious art students with no thoughts for the greater world.
this is the dumbest thing ever, the browser is not as complicated as these fucked up ways to explain how fast it is. Why don't they just have there competitor browsers running next to each other? that would be more effective then a lightning bolt on a ship or or paint into someones ear. Especially since your computer would fry or be destroyed if you actually has to load the browser b4 one of these things actually hit you in real life. this video is not effective
@jimmyboy2021 This isn't as much of a marketing ploy as it is making a really cool, fun video. Google really doesn't need "competitor comparison" marketing. Furthermore, the video isn't suited for, or the proper length for, TV marketing, where they need to get their point across quickly and effectively.

I needed to provide something to my fellow co-workers, however I can't give them this. No, I don't feel particularly silly, but I am now curious as to why your computer (that is the computer you tested it on, if you want to be THAT ANAL about that detail) decided not to play the game. Perhaps you didn't do it right, because the game usually started on it's own, or upon pressing the "Insert Coin" button that replaced the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. Perhaps you were too quick to click the image? All entirely plausible. Silly? Not really.
@Tustin2121 perhaps the version of chrome was too old, beause i went straight there in firefox and IE and it was fine, but in chrome, it was replaced with a linked image. who knows, who cares, but it should have just worked, as it did in the other browsers. Don't get me wrong, I like chrome, it's nice and minimalistic, and fast, just doesn't hadle a few things very well.
@omnipotentbeing It's not possible for that to happen, because Google updates Chrome in the background. Google even makes sure that Chrome lives in user space, not in Program Files, so no Vista run popups appear to stop any upgrades. So, If you have chrome and you're on the web, you are using Chrome 4 (at time of writing). You'd think Google would make sure it worked in it's own browser...
But yes, it's in the past now, so I shall drop it. :)
Have say that after watching this video, and listening to all these "GEEKS" spewing all this BS and seeing pages loaded locally I'd have to say its a worthless plug for a wanna be browser that has allot of short comings. "Try it for yourself." That ain't going to work. No one has that fast of an internet connection to overide the cached data speed. This can basically backfire because people won't be able to tell the difference between browser speed and network speed.
Do you know Locker z. This is there i got the ipad, only for daily loggin and watching videos. There are 400 videos, per video you can get 2-8 points. For 1800 Points, you can order a Ipodtouch, But there are only a few invites . And i have 3 invites to send. When you want one PN me your email.

all of these experiments i would dare say are slightly skewed in the advantage of google chrome. things flying through the air are slower than electricity through a wire (except light of course). even the lightening must ionize each individual air molecule to get to the grounded pirate ship. but this is just me being skeptical. this is still pretty good haha :)

Chrome is great browser, but FireFox with addons cant be beaten. You choose: faster loading pages (0.5-1 sec), or bugs free. Sometimes I cant close tab(s) in Chrome, so I must use task manager to close all. You cant see animated favicon in Chrome. You cant read RSS feed as well. When you use Chrome few hours and open some tabs with flash (movies) you will get headache. :)

After writing my last comment, I suggest MDF. You can machine MDF to conform to just about any shape... MDF shapes nicely with a router.

Actually they loaded Pandora page from web, other "tests" were stored on PC itself. They mentioned that in actual test video description. Direct quote: "Chrome Browser vs. Sound:
We loaded an artist page from Pandora.com, a streaming internet radio service directly off the web on a 15Mbps internet connection." :)

this is the dumbest thing ever, the browser is not as complicated as these fucked up ways to explain how fast it is. Why don't they just have there competitor browsers running next to each other? that would be more effective then a lightning bolt on a ship or or paint into someones ear. Especially since your computer would fry or be destroyed if you actually has to load the browser b4 one of these things actually hit you in real life. this video is not effective

@jimmyboy2021 This isn't as much of a marketing ploy as it is making a really cool, fun video. Google really doesn't need "competitor comparison" marketing. Furthermore, the video isn't suited for, or the proper length for, TV marketing, where they need to get their point across quickly and effectively.

But I personally need to verify this compared to another browser, not to toys. Yeah ok i'm enjoying how clever of an idea it is. But i can't go to my boss and say, This is the only video proving how fast Chrome is, its faster than a potato peeler. Like seriously wtf no credit there

I needed to provide something to my fellow co-workers, however I can't give them this. Don't you understand? yeah maybe on youtube it's cool, but this video is the only "proof" provided in the article. Very unprofessional on a professional page. No, I don't feel particularly silly, but I am now curious as to why your computer (that is the computer you tested it on, if you want to be THAT ANAL about that detail) decided not to play the game. Perhaps you didn't do it right, because the game usually started on it's own, or upon pressing the "Insert Coin" button that replaced the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. Perhaps you were too quick to click the image? All entirely plausible. Silly? Not really.

@Tustin2121 perhaps the version of chrome was too old, beause i went straight there in firefox and IE and it was fine, but in chrome, it was replaced with a linked image. who knows, who cares, but it should have just worked, as it did in the other browsers. Don't get me wrong, I like chrome, it's nice and minimalistic, and fast, just doesn't hadle a few things very well.

@omnipotentbeing It's not possible for that to happen, because Google updates Chrome in the background. Google even makes sure that Chrome lives in user space, not in Program Files, so no Vista run popups appear to stop any upgrades. So, If you have chrome and you're on the web, you are using Chrome 4 (at time of writing). You'd think Google would make sure it worked in it's own browser...
But yes, it's in the past now, so I shall drop it. :)

Chrome kicks butt also because it does not take tons of resources!
Each window is in it's own process you can kill individually!

all of these experiments i would dare say are slightly skewed in the advantage of google chrome. things flying through the air are slower than electricity through a wire (except light of course). even the lightening must ionize each individual air molecule to get to the grounded pirate ship. but this is just me being skeptical. this is still pretty good haha :)

Chrome rules. It is by far faster than Firefox and uncomparebly faster than internet explorer. Only problem is that Flash crashes a lot

Chrome is great browser, but FireFox with addons cant be beaten. You choose: faster loading pages (0.5-1 sec), or bugs free. Sometimes I cant close tab(s) in Chrome, so I must use task manager to close all. You cant see animated favicon in Chrome. You cant read RSS feed as well. When you use Chrome few hours and open some tabs with flash (movies) you will get headache. :)
