the instruction for pre is suck , but finally I did it. Then stuck again at final step "Failed to get counter or counter is zero, please check login to repeat" . :(( . I just purchased 1 Credit for stupid program, stupid phone. >"<

Hey bro, I uninstalled Novacom from my device manager because i did not find it uninstall programs. I have went to webos quick install, clicked file > options > attempt Novacom (Re)installation, and i get a system error. My Pre is definitely in dev mode.

what the fuck.... im getting pissed, when i connect my pre no prompt shows up on screen to let me choose a usb mode and it says usb not recognized in windows (im running windows 7), i feel like im the only one who has this problem because no one has a fix for it

Finally! Thank you this worked. Novacom was installed and everything but the service wasn't running. Followed this guide and all is well again.

Guys i'm not sure if you double checked to make sure your developer mode is turned on, lol. but make sure. remember it's "webos20090606" to get to it without the quotes. If it's off turn it on and then try to connect it again.
