I just happened to view this because of (well if you're familiar with it) the book Dug Down Deep by Joshua Harris and some of my friends referring this to be one of those big choices God would make. I love this video!!! The only thing I just noticed recently was the narration at 2:31 ("A Tragic Mistake") and that right after the whole video, the song 'All for Love' was played followed by the quotation of John 3:16 showing how God loved the world through the clip. For me, I would say that there's no 'tragic mistake' that God made and there's no such thing as 'terrible choice' that he must make for everything was planned from the very foundation of the earth to please and give Him all glory.
