The Track is called Fundidora Park and is located in Monterrey, (spelt with two "R"s as opposed to the Monterey of Lacuna Seca, California) northeast Mexico. And yeah it's a semi-street circuit.
Bullshit. He out-scored his veteran team-mate ( a driver who was in his tenth full season of F1 in 2003) Olivier Panis in his first season in a shitbox car. He was doing a decent job in 2004 considering the equipment at his disposal before he was replaced with Zonta for the 2004 Hungarian GP for no good reason.
@cristianodamatta He got replaced because he had enough balls to tell Toyota that there car was crap. The way things turned out for Toyota in F1, I would say he was correct.
@markko17 Indeed he was. Idiotic move for Toyota though. Zonta didn't do any better than da Matta would have and would Toyota would have been better off considering consistency. Similar situation to Bourdais being dumped by Torro Rosso midway through last year. Another idiotic move.
u should crawl in a corner and die!!!-----da matta was any day better---he quit F1 on his own merrit---he wasent chucked out---he left bcause of how much in F1 a car has influence on the race reults----champcar is more competative in that respect---he out did his seasoned team mate---
At high speeds these cars sounded a lot like Formula One machines.

What is this track called? Is it a street track?
I thought the only race track in Monterey was Laguna Seca.

da matta was crap in f1, i watched him at silverstone once, he was awful. In my opinion Ricardo zonta was a much better choice

He kicked arse in champcar and did well in F1 as well. He deserved to see out the 2004 season instead of being booted in favour of Ricardo Zonta.
