(Aretha's only Room 222 appearance), featuring John David Carson, who was the son of Aldrich 'Kit' Carson, an actor in various westerns. There's no connection to Johnny Carson, other than they had the same first and last name, and both spent time in the Hollywood area.

I believe that's Richard Tee on the organ, Bernard Purdie playing the bongos and probably Cornell Dupree on guitar and Chuck Rainey on bass. These were the guys playing on her records in the early seventies including Amazing Grace and Young, Gifted and Black. They might have been in LA recording Amazing when they taped this. This is Aretha at the top of her game!
