  • She was also the mother of Persus, Danae.

  • Diana was also called Danu,Danuna, Artemis, Egeria, Nemi, Anna, Inanna, Madonna, Dictynna, Dione, Goddess of the moon grove.

Queen of Heaven. The Luna Virgin, Mother of Creatures and the Huntress. At Ephesus the largest temple of the old world, she was worshipped through out Europe. Britain as well as the eastern med.

  • I love this music!:)

  • @narrowgatevisions

Demonic spirit? i think not! she is one of the may manifestations of the sacred feminine. The Virgin Mary is another example of the sacred feminine as are countless others, Freya, Astrid, Ianna, Brigid to name but a few.

  • Diana, you who guided my aim, you who blessed me with your grace, you who showed me the light, you who allowed me to hunt in your glades and gaze upon your maidens.

  • people people. Diana is the Roman Moon Goddess and Artemis is the Virgin Huntress of the Greek pantheo geeze

  • theyre the same

  • Apollo isnt gay, he is bi, men and women. loads of the gods were like that thou...

  • Actually Artemis is the Goddess of the hunt. And yes Artemis asked her father (Zeus) To be a maiden forever, because she is a tomboy and loves to hunt like her brother Apollo....Did Anyone Know APOLLO IS GAY?

  • just an awesome combination of pic's and Sound....

    gr8 vid congrats!!!!

  • This song actually reminds me of the starving children in Africa. It makes me sad.

  • really lifted my spirit watching this video...Thank you

  • Wow! What an nice compliment! Can't ask for much more than that! Thank YOU, maxine! :-)

  • Beautiful Video.

    Blessed Be!

  • Due in large part to your love of the great Goddess Diana and the exposure you have given this video as well, no doubt., Prince Christopher. Plus, it was truly INSPIRED by the great Goddess herself in a message to me just before I made it for her. May the great Mother be remembered forever within our hearts in all of her manifestations!

    Blessed Be! ~ Terri )0(

  • Diana....as in Artimes. She's not a mother, she's a virgin goddess, and fiercly so, her companions who broke the vow of chasticy and those men who would touch her or view her naked were put to death.

Artimis even had human sacrifices done to her at one temple. Yes, she's not evil, her nature is strict, and wild, but she is not a mother or peace bringer.

  • umm correction. The Goddess Diana as in DIANA, is wife to Lucifer and gave birth to Aradia.

  • which is utter bullshit, modern age bullshit, based on a loose interpritation of one story about Apollo and Artemis. However most traditions hold Artemis to be a strict virgin. and besides this twisted modern age story makes Apollo into Lucifer.

  • Artemis IS portrayed as a strict virgin! She turned a man in to a stag and whistled for his own dogs to kill him! Different tories come from different mouths. The Goddess is one being anyway. She is the divine feminine portrayed as many, many different women in many different religions. So it really doesn't matter.

    blessed be

  • Oh, my God, what kind of animal is the one at 2:43 - 2:46?Is it a tapirus?

  • Ha, you can be sure that talking about hunting with a person from Slovenia is quite challenging.

  • Indeed, challenging is quite GOOD. Just so long as we keep it a respectful debate, and can stay away from denigrating remarks on either side of conversation regarding the other. That approach will get us absolutely no where, fast. :-) People tend to close their ears when they go on the defensive, and can no longer hear what is truly important in the conversation. People will react emotionally rather than respond cognitively to one's thoughts and words. Just a little reminder for us ALL! ;-)

  • Not in my case, i study to be a lawyer, words are my best weapon.

  • Dost thou seek to clarify. . . or divide?

  • As for the topic on hunting i have to say that in Slovenia a 3/4 green country hunting is life, tradition, pride of the families, duty and respect for all animals and forests. Such is the respect for the forests taht we don't even neeed the forest guards to control the woods, there are enough hunters to do that.

  • Quite another reality over there, it seems...a fascinating exploration, truly! :-) Thanks again for your most excellent contributions to the conversation. It has been most eye-opening. :-)

  • Thanks for your response. To see the Horses just write Lipica on Youtube. Btw.,I have been a dragoon of the 4th Genova Cavalleria, an old italian cavallery regiment founded in the napoleonic ages, and as is espected from europeans, the horse and the rider were a thing of pride for the regiment, as it is his darring skill in combat that earned us many medals trough centuries.

  • Regarding Lipica and the dancing horses, I would give my eye teeth to see what you have described in your verbal picture of the Lipizanners. If you ever have a chance, pull out your video and shoot some footage..what an awesome video that would make put to music! A project straight up my alley! LOL!

Until then, I will have to visit such a place only in my imagination. Your words made that imagery come more alive! :-) Beautiful!

  • Btw.: I live near Lipica the home of the white dancing horses known as lipizanners. Have you ever seen dancing a horse on the ritem of the Wiennese Wlatzer, one of the most beutiful things to see. The mayesty, discipline and perfect natural beauty of the horse and the back music of an orchestral Waltzer. For all horse lovers (1 year in a cavallery regiment 4th Genova)zou have to see Lipica.

  • Thank you for your many very interesting and insightful comments on the subject of hunting. I have read them all with great interest because for you, the energy of Diana is alive and well! I had no idea people in your country were still actively worshiping her in these ways, and I greatly respect that so much attention is focused on the sacred aspect of the hunt. That is an absolutely fascinating glimpse into your culture, and I very much appreciate you sharing your perspectives. (continued...)

  • I'm happy to learn that such care is still taken in your part of the world to respect the sanctity of life in all of it's forms, and especially when the taking of a life is involved. This in itself is respect worthy.

It is unfortunate that you have had such terrible experiences with some of the American hunters who have visited your country, and I too feel the pain of the loss of respect in the taking of a life, be it human or animal. One must be careful, however, (continued....)

  • ...when it may be tempting to label whole groups of people based upon the actions of the few. I don't believe that a healthy respect for life (or the lack thereof for that matter) is limited to national boundaries. Unfortunately, disrespect for life itself runs rampant around the globe, and is certainly not constrained to a single population. I feel that regaining respect for all life lies at the core of the healing that is required on this planet at this time. (continued...)

  • In a word, I believe that is the utter lack of respect for life itself that is killing not only our planet, but also the cause behind the effect of the potential extinction of many plant and animal species, including mankind itself. In a word, it is RESPECT that is the golden key we seek to reclaim the world as stewards of the earth itself. And this is not a national issue, this is a global issue! Thank you Markus for your most interesting contributions to this thread. (continued...)

  • ...it is a very important conversation whose time has definitely come! Keep the conversation alive, ongoing and FULL OF RESPECT, for it is only this while is going to save us all from ourselves! An old Hopi Indian saying goes, "We are the one's we have been waiting for..." and SO IT IS. SO BE IT.

    R-E-S-P-E-C-T-fully, Terri

  • You know what means Diana to me? She is the goddess of freedoom, skill at arms, forests, discipline and at the the same time luck. I worship her as a hunter. We sing and drink in her honor when we hunt. We have a traditional oath when we graduate as hunters and a pray when we stalk an animal. When we have luck with hunting we say that she smiled and blessed us. The moon, the forests and the thrill of the hunt are her simbols. All this things that are unknown to the modern urban man are my life.

  • Just an example and than i finish the topic on hunting (I canno't tollerate that we are put in the same category as american hunters); I am hunter, my grandfather was, my father is and my brother will be one soon; I have to do numerous tasks like bring water or food to animals, safeguard the nests and the breeding grounds, control the movements of the local people so they do not harm animals, collaborate with farmers when animals do damage or damage is done to them... and only than I can hunt.

  • Hunting is worshipping Diana. Every true european understands that, it is our tradition. To amricans hunting is just a sport where they can shoot animals to statify their lust for blood, but we euopeans are trained in the WAY OF THE HUNTER, an old tradition of celtic spiritualism, duty and discipline with arms. If we want to hunt we must first take care of the forests and animals by protecting and feeding them and only when you have done your duty (ordered by law) you have the right to hunt.

  • hwey!!! not all americans belive in hunting for sport.

  • To americans hunting is living out the feeling of survival you idiot. When europeans came over and became americans, they had to hunt to survive and today hunting stands for a rememberance of survival we dont just hunt ebcause we like to kill shit

  • Sadly the american guests in our country proved the contrary. Sorry for upsetting you, but you must understand that here I talk of tradition, a way of life that in most families is so radicated that when you are 18 you start the two year training to be a hunter, and when you die you recive a funeral that resembels the last hunt. In Slovenia over 22000 people are hunters on a 1.800.000 of population, more than 1%. And the numbers rise quickly when you add all the informal hunting associations.

  • I sing of Artemis, sister of the Far-shooter, the virgin who delights in arrows. She waters her horses from Meles deep in reeds, and swiftly drives her all-golden chariot through Smyrna to vine-clad Claros where Apollo, god of the silver bow, sits waiting.

  • OMG freddie, I never would have made that connection in a million years, but it's an interesting perspective. I had no idea this video would become such a provocative element when I made it. Many of the responses to this thread have taken me quite by surprise. And everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion and to the expression of it. (cont.)...

  • That's one thing about art...one never knows quite how the viewer is going to perceive it, but good art allows for the viewer to draw their own conclusions. Thank you ALL for sharing your many and varied perspectives and responses to my video. It has been quite a learning experience for me. :-) Best blessings, Terri

  • I'm not trying to bring politics here. That is not my intention. Diana is what many men see in Sarah Palin, myself included. They do not understand the attraction they have for her. Not all men(metrosexual) just the real men. I believe that the attraction we have for her goes deep into our past. Deep down in our souls we long for the simple times when we still long for days we lived off the land and did not go to the market for processed meat. Oh, to meet a hunting goddess is a man's dream.

  • As a hunter I have the right and the duty to worship Diana. Belive it or not when I have done the entire two year training to be a hunter I had an oath to do and it was in the name of Diana. ( disciplined by law and tradition in Slovenia )

  • Thank you for your additional insight, dear Diana. You were right indeed; I did not know that. Feel free to post whatever else you learn that might be relevant to the subject, please. :-) May the God/dess bless you, Terri )0(

  • I just love this video! maybe because I'm Diana! The Godess Diana in Greek mithology is also twin sister to Appollon - the God of music and beauty. This wasn't mentioned in the description so I thought maybe you didn't know. Anywhay - great video! 5 stars

  • "There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so." Hamlet/William Shakespeare

Every time the human animal exhibits cruelty and indifference toward any living thing they prove how arrogant they are, thinking nature cares particularly about them and as such gives them license to do as they will. Nature will always out live humans. However, we will never out live nature. Our pride, vanity and ignorance will kill ultimately because we have no respect for anything. Not even ourselves.

  • I also have a problem with killing animals simply for purposes of obtaining a body part, such as taking a pelt, or tusks, or rhino horns. Such practices have absolutely NOTHING to do with hunting. They are simply murderous acts lacking conscience or connection with the animal, with nature or with spirit.

  • hey what is that song on this video..it is beautiful...oh, and by the way my mom named me after Artemis (nickname), and named my twin brother Apollo...I was born when the cresent moon was up, and my mom said when the moon hit my eyes they sparkled, same as my brother except for it is the sun that made his eyes sparkle..i am also in a latin club and they call me Artemis so it is wicked cool lol (Even though i am a man lol)but what is the name of that song

  • You know, I have no problem with hunting for survival, or simply for needed food sources. I do however, have a big problem with hunting for mere sport alone (read for ego reasons), or when so called "hunters" set up blinds and animals are then lured into such surroundings unsuspectingly, and picked off as they enter the area. This is NOT "hunting" in my opinion.

  • Perhaps hunting to some people is a blood affair, whitout honor, spiritulaity or else; Have you ever been on a hunt, tested your skill against nature, walked the paths traced only by animals, brought wather when there was drought or food when it was scarce in the winter; Only few people are capable of worshipping Diana in every her form. it is a deep connection with nature, animals and your soul.I live in Slovenia a green country covered 2/3 in forests; here hunting is a life style.

  • love this music. what is this song called?

  • Excuse me you pagans say not to kill animals, but then again yo worship a goddess who stands for hunting you people make absolutely no sence.

  • Look, I'm a huge animal lover, I love all animals, but I have no problem with hunting for survival, hunting for a sport is so cruel though in my opinion. How about you get hunted down for a trophy. I think Dianna and Artemis are great huntresses but i personally like Artemis because her arrows cause no pain, and they die instantly. I don't want a animal suffering just for my sake.

  • I might add Diana killed for survival in ancient times and was a huge animal lover and healer in essence. Nowadays shes more seen as the moon goddess and the goddess of essence of woman.

  • My name is Diana and my nic on the net is DianaLadyHawk LOL! Thanks for the wonderful video. Diana is also my Matron Goddess...Namaste...Diana

  • My name is Diana. I exude the characteristic of this female idenity. However, it is not spiritual in the sense of divine. It is a woman in her fullness. God is our creator and have you ever asked why Diana? The beauty of nature is how God intended.

  • Hi Diana,

Thank you for your most thought-full comments. I think each person's sense of connection to the "essence" of Diana is a very personal one. While I agree with your comment on being and representing a woman in her fullness, my own personal experience with this energy has been profoundly spiritual. Perhaps it is a matter of semantics, and what one person considers "spiritual" may mean something completely different to another. Anyway, I appreciate the share of thoughts. Thank you.

  • I have to agree with you about semantics. We all search for ourselves in a spiritual way. I am Christian, yet, the truth that is with me assisted my in finding the truth in the Celtic peoples. Because we are a people that are united in blood and spirit. Without God and His leading,I would have never found my roots. When I look back in my heart I find Christ Jesus because we were all made through him.

  • As all hunters true to the call I also belive in Diana; her call canno't be resisted, each hunt is a payer and every moment spent in the woods is her blessing.

  • Hey, totally cool song. Diana is one of my favourite deities, although I'm a man :( well, couldn't help it. But I have and love dogs, so it's obvious that she's one of the gods I worship. Just next to Fortuna and Svantevit (god of my grandmother's birth isle). But i'm not spiritual, and hear no voices, I just practice the roman (not wiccan!) or slavic rituals you see. But still good song, really

  • Thank you! We each have our own unique connection to the divine, both in its female and male aspects. How we each relate to and commune with such energies and perspectives is a matter of personal choice and individual uniqueness. No two people will ever agree completely on ALL aspects of the divine nature of things. Does this make one "right" and the other "wrong?" Absolutely NOT! This is the trouble with black n' white thinking and systems that foster a dualistic approach to life and thought.

  • This is also why I prefer a pantheon of divine energies to work with, rather than an overly simplistic and dualistic approach to life. The greatest wound this world have ever experienced is the division of it's divinely diverse energies into a system based upon mere duality and black and/vs. white thinking. Thanks again for your comments, I appreciate your thoughtfulness very much.

  • I guess I am one of the few who still believes in and worships the Greek Gods. The way I see it, The Greek and Roman Gods were the same, just with different names. I feel a closer kinship with the Goddesses than I do the Gods. I have heard them speak to me and their voices will leave you with complete peace. But it's hard to see them. Artemis, for example, you cannot see past her glory to see her face, as with the other Gods. They must allow you to see them. And I love the video and music.

  • Thank you for your comment, CVB. What I have experienced with Diana's presence is that her teaching is profoundly penetrating, usually very brief and to the point, and the lesson often takes years to inculcate fully. "She" does not come simply because she is called upon. She comes when the time is ripe for the next step in our spiritual journey to take place. Diana delivers her message and departs just as quickly and mysteriously as she arrived. That's precisely how this video came into being.

  • She requested it, and I agreed. This video originally began as a tribute to Epona, the horse goddess, but Diana's essence presence intervened one evening and strongly requested that I make it for her instead. And so it is. :-) Epona's will come along at some point also. Such are the old ways of the ancient ones. They seem to have their own notions regarding the hierarchal structure and divine order of things. Diana definitely did not want to play second fiddle to Epona. Oh no! LOL! Women! :-)

  • I have a statue of each Greek God and Goddess. I am a man and I feel a closer kinship and love for the females than the male Gods. I usually talk to Venus(Aphrodite), Athena, Artemis, and Apollo(the only male I feel close to.) Sometimes, I'll talk to the others cause they all love us.

  • Don't wanna be a playbreaker, but "the gods love us"? Isn't that not too much christian terminology? The pagan gods don't hate humans, but thta love thing? Well, I never saw it like that. I just want to worship along the old Roman (or whatever) rituals to insure my and the mines of protection, not because I am spiritual, what I'm not at all.

  • They do love us or they would not help and protect us. Sure, they get pissed off, even the Christian GOd does, and lash out at us. But that does not mean they don't love us.

  • Thank you for your thoughtful comments on my video. This one is especially close to my heart, so your comments mean a lot to me. Blessings, Terri

  • You did a great job creating the mood for this music, its reverent and expresses the aspects of Diana I most relate to.

  • good video i admire artemis more though

  • A great honor to my mistress, whom I call Skadi, I thank you.

  • Beautiful, enchanting music and video. Greetings from the Slavic Pagan! Slava (Glory)!! Besides, Diana - beside Ishtar and Selene - is one of the non-slavic Deities I often pray and pay homage to.

  • I am a Strega, I loved this song & the images, may more know the past, present & future, the Goddess Diana.

    Blessings,

    Donna (Va.)

  • I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed Diana's tribute. It is good to know that there are people who can still hear Her voice calling to them from within. This little montage was made in her honor, to help stimulate that recognition and remembrance, for those who have served Her, "past, present and future", as you wrote so aptly in your comments. Thank you for sharing your thoughts...blessed, be. Terri

  • I`m Italian,we have a lot of legends about Goddess more than you read in the books.

Certain woods of Italy are still sacred...to Artemis...Ariccia wood, near Rome...ciao

  • I would love to visit those woods one day, and to walk in her presence again. I would like to visit some of her ancient temple sites too. And the old Etruscan village sites... Thank you for very much your comments, Terri

  • This Song Seen has seen My Soul

  • Hello Starfeather...thank you so much for such a deeply felt response to my video. "She" sees it all inside us and when we are open to these perceptions, we too can see more deeply into ourselves as well. I love this song too, for exactly the same reason. Welcome! ~ Terri

  • Nice Vid. Makes me more proud that my name is Diana. ;p

  • THANK YOU all so very much for your most kind and generous comments. It's so good to know that Her spirit is still alive and well in your hearts and that you recognized it and she spoke to you through the song...this makes my heart happy and my soul feel healing inside. It's all GOOD! :-) Thank you for hearing HER voice come through the music. Blessings, Terri

  • Awesome,really awesome!

    Arianrhod

  • I like your video! The music is beautiful and it's mutch for the pictures! Great job!

  • Thank you so much for your most kind comments! It makes me happy to know that you enjoyed it too. I love the song, "The Voice" and have always felt deeply connected into the Diana/Artemis energy. "Diana" is like home turf for me. They just seemed to go together easily, effortlessly and naturally. :-)
