No wars, no debt, money to be made EVERYWHERE! There will never be another decade like the 90's!!! PERIOD!!!!!
@folks002 i was 15 years old, but i got a little taste of what your talking bout, but i swear if they had time machine invented i would vacation back to the 90's lol
Anybody know the song/music video where Puff Daddy is on a couch bobbing his head and dancing all weird? I remember seeing that awhile back, it's pretty old, and always was good for a laugh.
what happend to the music...omg..mainstream media fuckin sucks..always livin' in the 90s..they don't live in the past, well god damn the new century mark brought forth some stupid ass music and artists
@xGOSSIPGIRL95 I was reading Vibe magazine at the time, and I think it was the one about the deaths of 2Pac & Biggie. In the article on them, Coko was talikng mad shit about, well, everything! Her dislike of the song "Weak" saying she hated that song, "Someone"- in which she said was a "half-assed song" so she sang it half-assed...and then, there's her remarks about her dislike of dark skinned Black men....despite the fact that she's dark skinned herself.
@MyJunior1975 LOL. Weak and Someone arent my fav. SWV-songs either, so i can understand her saying that.. hmm she's dark-skinned herself so thats kinda weird. what else did she say? did she say anything about 2Pac & Biggie?
@xGOSSIPGIRL95 She didn't say anything about 2Pac &Biggie, thank God!!! I also remember them talking about alI of the R&B guys they were "affiliated" with.I do know this- after reading the article, you could tell there was tension in the group. So when they announced their break up at the end of '98, I was not surprised.
@MyJunior1975 LOL. i think i read that article 2.. Coko was talking about how she was in a ''candyshop full of niggas'' lol i dont remember what she exactly said, but something like that.. and she was talking about the girls dating members from Shai and Blackstreet, right? haha. why did u think there was tension in the group?
@xGOSSIPGIRL95 From what I heard from Taj, she said a lot of it had to do with the producers always making Coko sing lead 90% of the time. Then, there was other stuff like shouts and fights backstage. She had mentioned this on a VH1 special back in 2006 about the short lifespan of girl groups.
@GO1993 he was said too be the man of the east he did it all with all remixes noone will ever forget so said this era is so wak wtf the they have now i have no respect for rap and hip hop today
@skeletorphd ....He was never a cunt, you MUST be a hateful, jealous, envious hearted person. Diddy was the ish and he is STILL a mogul. I have nothing but respect for that brother.
In other news, SWV is still my favorite. Those sisters made NOTHING BUT hits ! :)
There go Puffy video hoggin!!! I used to be tight when I saw his ass dancing and shyt in EVERY BODY video!!! Now I wish dat ass would dance. Show'em how to do it son!! Lol
@user4423 I've been on dis page. Nice intention!!! I jus dn understand why I found Lil Kim - Magic Stick (Ft 50 Cent) on it. Dis page is not wat i expected yet. I'm sure u'll make it more selective.
Of course there are garbage rappers in everytime period and unfourtunatly diddy made it rapping he shouldve just stuck to producing i hate the 6 year old who writes his rhymes and i hope he dies. (The 6 year old but i still dont like diddy.) however big ups to swv and about 1997-98 respect for l boogie
...even though I didn't have a gig yet (I wouldn't have an afterschool gig until September of '99!) or barely any bread. But, it was still fun, man. Great, fun times. Too bad I didn't really have the opprotunity to do much then, but, I did live it. I definitely lived the 90's, baby! And I'm so happy for that. Anyway, again, thanks for posting this video up. It was a great trip back in the day down Hip-Hop/R&B memory lane. 1997-1998, forever!!!
...This video seemed to have elements of all cultures: Africa, asian influence, 90's Hip-Hop/R&B club scene, and, of course, classic mid-90's--Diddy shooting in the middle of Times Square with NO goddamn permit! Lol... Man, I miss those days SO bad! Yeah, the video was cool, but this song is greatness. Especially the way it breaks down and rises up @ 2:45. I love that part! Listening to it today, it almost brings a tear to my eye. Yeah, I won't lie! :) It just takes me back to more fun times...
Man, how many times did Hot97 (WQHT) play this hot joint back then? A LOT!!! Hell, what am I talking about, they played EVERY hot R&B joint real hard between 1996-2000. So, like me, if you're from the NYC tri-state area (or, like me, still here), you can never forget these R&B classics. Never!
Anyways, thanks for posting this video! I definitely forgot (HA!) about it. I probably heard this song more at the time than seeing this video (back in '97, I likely only saw it about 7 or 8 times)....
This track is BANANAAAZZZ; reminds me of BIG's 10 Crack Commandments. Also the Ferrari Puff's drivin is SIC! Cats was putting neons on their whips back then.
I agree. I just said the song reminds me of Biggie's song 10 Crack Commandments since it uses the same track. Credit should always go to the original singer/writer/producer. If it weren't for Youtube and music heads like yourself, we probably would forget this song as well as the original. Peace.
THIS SONG EXISTS HERE!!!AH MANY MANY THANKS!!! HOW I LOVED THIS BACK THEN!!! ONLY GOD KNOWS SO!!!:) AH THIS IS SO GOOD!!! AH I AM TOO HAPPY,1Str88Mizz!!!
I loved diddy back in 90's, that's when him or his production crew was comin out with straight club & jeep bangers! I love the whole New Jack Era & a little after too.
Yes, that was a hot verse, but I find this one to be better. Still, Puffy (P. Diddy) is nice with the pen! Add the fact that he can make flaming hot tracks, he is the total package!
he signed to his label because he is the bigger man...Jay-z really insulted him before and tried to bury him as an artist but privately aswell. Nas shook his hand and went on to do great music through Def Jam and put that shit behind him. You could say he "turned the other cheek" and that is a important milestone in Nas but in all of his fans. Some fans still asks "how could he sign to Def?" but he did it 'cause he is the bigger man, I don't think Jay would have done the same.
I just ha dto sighn on to agree with waht I had been saying for years real recognises real and we know what is missing and whats still missing from the KC JOJO days
Jahova must be on the way! the real stuff is gone!
I completely agree with you. However for me, the era of this song was the turning point where flashing diamonds and half naked women was becoming the focus of rap and rnb. Videos started (but not so much) becoming more important than the song's meaning and instant hits became the focus of the greedy business men who wanted profit from song even if it meant selling the soul of RnB and Hip Hop.
This song was sick like the flu to me because it had the "Ten Crack Commandments" Beat, I bought two copies of this one a white lable called "Crib underground" Vynil and the Life after death album and mixed the shit out of these two songs
This is a good song.beyonce might have the good looks but SWV could sell albums putting looks aside.I dont knw if beyonce could sell albums had she been ugly.
he is full of shit...but before 1999 puff daddy was SUPERTALENTED, wasnt a musician, let alone a producer, but dude had an incredible EAR, passion, drive, and was creative....but his EGO is stronger than all mentioned before...if he somehow refinds that passion, he can recreate magic like this, back when hit songs had hot remixes...

Yes, that was a hot verse, but I find this one to be better. Still, Puffy (P. Diddy) is nice with the pen! Add the fact that he can make flaming hot tracks, he is the total package!
jarbon5 2 years ago
I view Puffy in a similar way to how I look at Jay-Z. He isn't the best rapper around, but I can respect him as a businessman and his attiude.
Puffy has had ghost writers (e.g. Mad Skillz) do some of his rhymes, and Jay-Z has bitten a couple of verses.
HOWEVER: people say Nas won the Nas-Jay beef, because he's the better lyricist...but after all that Nas ended up signed to Jay-Z's label! :D

This song will never sound old to me
