Her dislike of the song "Weak" saying she hated that song, "Someone"- in which she said was a "half-assed song" so she sang it half-assed...and then, there's her remarks about her dislike of dark skinned Black men....despite the fact that she's dark skinned herself.

I view Puffy in a similar way to how I look at Jay-Z. He isn't the best rapper around, but I can respect him as a businessman and his attiude.

Puffy has had ghost writers (e.g. Mad Skillz) do some of his rhymes, and Jay-Z has bitten a couple of verses.

HOWEVER: people say Nas won the Nas-Jay beef, because he's the better lyricist...but after all that Nas ended up signed to Jay-Z's label! :D

Nas shook his hand and went on to do great music through Def Jam and put that shit behind him. You could say he "turned the other cheek" and that is a important milestone in Nas but in all of his fans. Some fans still asks "how could he sign to Def?" but he did it 'cause he is the bigger man, I don't think Jay would have done the same.

I completely agree with you. However for me, the era of this song was the turning point where flashing diamonds and half naked women was becoming the focus of rap and rnb.
