@northbendsk8 Hi and thanks for the question. I work in the airline industry, but have been interested in fire department operations since I was about 10 years old ... almost 40 years ago! I have tremendous respect for all fire fighters.
@MrJakemoffitt Hi and thanks for the question. E35 was not on the original box. Dispatch must have thought they were out of service. At :50 you can hear them ask Dispatch to add them to the box. I believe the address was close to 35's quarters.
Hi..this is a great video! I have a question if you don't mind me asking. Do u work for the fire department? Because Im 17 and ive been wanting to go and film my local FD going out on calls but im worried that theyll get pissed or think its illegal or something..what do u think? thanks
I've watched few of your videos and they are good. They could be so much better. You need to get out of your car and closer to the action man!! Keep them coming!!
I don't get out to L.A. very often, but I've seen a few LACFD responses on YouTube. If you search for them you should be able to find them. I do want to make a pilgrimage to LACFD Stn 127 at some point.... the station used to represent Stn 51 in the Emergency! TV series during the '70s. Ideally, I'd film a dispatch and response from that statinon ... E127 or Quint 127. Unfortunately, no squads are quartered there.
@ColinFWheeler just letting ya know..127s isnt a real busy station..and its a light task force so when they get a call..both companies go..even for medicals.fyi
@RosevilleFireCadet7 Thanks for the info. I'm going to try to fly there over Labor Day weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to film at least one dispatch of Q127. Is a Squad or Medic there too? I thought it was just a Quint. Do you (or anyone) have any info on how many calls LACoFD Stn 127 gets per year? Thanks!
@ColinFWheeler they have the call info on the la county fire station website. no medic just engine and quint 127. they get about 4-5 calls every 24 hour shift.
Hi and thx for the question. It's an automated dispatch system designed by a company called Locution Systems, Inc. They have a web site that describes the various benefits of such a system. Several departments have gone to this system, including Dallas and Seattle.
did you used to be a firefighter?

As long as you're standing in a public place, there is jack shit they can do. Them or police. Have you asked them?
