That Eddy Mathews card is in super shape and centering, I've always see it with terrible centering or in poor condition due to it being the last card (#407) in the set.
52 Topps are the best, IMO. The look of the cards combined with the fact that it has the original, pre-relocation era teams of the Boston Braves, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia A's (as well as the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers for that matter)...perfection.
I remember reading an article from Sports Illustrated from '89 and they interviewed a collector by the name of Al Rosen. He stated that Mickey Mantle's '52 Topps rookie card was valued at $8,500. After 22 years, there's no telling how much the card is now. I quit collecting cards once I got to high school a couple of years later.
Absolutely amazing collection! What I wanna know is how to spot those old Reprints that someone tries to make original. They're all the same size and color.
I went to your website and you have great vintage cards for very low prices. I'm planning on buying some 1952 topps from you in the future. I really love your website!
@Dielonthug and some could grade a 10. if he sends these cards off to auction houses especially the high numbers after getting graded, he will get a fortune for these cards.
well, none did. look at the link the the right... the cards that are graded no higher than an 8. and adding all those amounts up for sale does not get anywhere close to a million. lol
@Dielonthug you obviously have no clue what these cards bring in auctions. price guides are useless and only good to use as guides. you have no idea what these cards could bring.
No, YOU have no idea what your talking about. that link to the right is not a price guide, its a store. much like ebay, i dont think youve ever visted it.
Wow!!! Those are amazing cards!! Thanks for sharing. When, where, how are you selling those? Also, what do you think they will great out at overall, and for the key cards like the Mantle and Mays, etc. Thanks again!!
