@JS1966 You forgot vince neil too, on cruefest dvd he sounded like shit! And he didnt sing even all lyrics, he left so much out... And he's been like it all the time from their new-coming... On dvd he was so bad that even i could have sing them better, though i saw some clips that were quite new and he sounded way better. Rest of the band probably made him take singing practices or something, cause he was 100 times more worse than dave here on cruefest dvd. And don dokken & ratt are your favori
God he sounds terrible! And this is 1999!! Imagine how bad he must be now?? I saw him in 2008 with VH and he wasn't good then either. I am not afraid to admit when my favorites have lost it...DLR is one of them...Don Dokken, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt...all have lost it. The playing on this is good but DLR is toast
yeah, the guitarist.....Bart. I was on a boat with him today. Bart is the shit. You gotta give props to ANYONE that's willing to fall in behind Eddie and Steve. Bart is amazing. All I can say is, he's a friend, but seriously, a consumate guitarist. Bart ROCKS! Dave ain't easy to work with, so, you musicians, you know what I'm sayin', it ain't easy. Bart did his job and did it well. Most folks would give their left testicle to have that gig, so there's that. Nuff said. Bart rocks!
"Oh, I have no idea what is the fuck'n glam.." ROFL, is that what he sayd?? xD :D Maybe most radical glam/hair metal rocker ever walked in earth sayin' that joke makes me kick down the walls!
Singing live is hard. Of course, choosing to do a steady course of back to back gigs and tours, smoking cigs and whatever else, drinking like a fish and generally not taking care of your voice on the road will lead to poor live vocal performances like this one.
Are there people here who "aint talkin bout love" concerning DLR and his so/so vocals here?.....Well try singing this note 4 note just like the studio version including the raspy scream in the beginning the whole way through w/no break and you'll see why night after night it gets a bit rough on the Diamond.I've seen him at least 5 times counting VH reunion and on 10/19/02 that show blew my mind I never thought I'd witness this guy do a whole show and hit nearly all the notes and he did!On Fire!
No, at the time Bart Walsh was his guitar player. He was a player in the VH cover band Atomic Punks before DLR picked him up to be his touring guitarist.
"Epic fail" ripping of Vai...right... at.... the beginning. HA!!
Nice try.

Dave, love you dude, but why even bother trying this 1:46 if you can't even come close.

I love DLR, but this is bad period for Dave. He had totally lost his voice at this point.
Sounded great on the last VH tour however, so he got some of it back.
