I have a large square scarf that has two textures (soft side for hair and silky side for pillow). the first time i got it i used the silky side for my hair and woke up with my hair feeling hard until i used my boar bristle brush. the next night i used the soft side and my hair felt soft and moisturized in the morning. USE THE SOFT SIDE!

Do you have any suggestions for women who sleepbad and wake up with a hair wrap missing.

I am thinking of buying satin pillow cases and using a satin wrap on my head. just to make sure I don't lose moister in my hair . Plus I have cats they have a habit of licking my hair at night. (It's how they show affection and the grooming) great for them not for me.

@minnieclips what i do is after putting on my silk scarf [to keep the moisture in] i put a wig cap on top of the scarf and then my bonnet. i hope that helps. :]

I use a satin scarf too, but I'm not sure which side should be directly on my hair. One side is slightly more silky than the other side. Does it matter which side is on my hair?

yup. the silkier side slides on the pillow while the other side goes on your hair. if you did it the other way around, the scarf would slide off your hair. ^^

if it still slides, try putting a bonnet over it like hairlicious does.

yes the more silkier side should go on your hair because the point of putting a scarf on your hair is so it is covered and retains its moisture while your sleeping and the more silkier the more moisture your hair will retains.

I do a similar technique but never thought to cap after 'scarving' the hair, so off to Sally's to pick up a bonnet!
