  • Wow, the woodwinds (oboe?) is so very crisp with the runs like you hear in 0:27 and 0:52. Bellissimo!

  • ...fastest song ive ever played with orchestra....they play as if it is a fucking etude

  • @18478yoo This is not a song. There is no singer.

  • EPIC

  • If you're impressed by Charlie Sheen's skills, check out Harry Potter's conducting savvy. Search Youtube for "Recording the Der Hölle Rache - Diana Damrau". Harry stars around @1:00

  • Can’t you idiots hear that this “phenomenal rendition” has been digitally modified and accelerated? Who the hell knows a oboist that can perform at that speed @ 0:55 and @ 1:00??? And this from a Baroque orchestra? BS!

  • @KingOfTheFiddle are you kidding me? our high school band is playing this song. and we may have a soprano sax playing the oboe part but she is doing just fine with the speed. this is not digitally accelerated. you're just an ignorant person who spits out shit trying to make others believe you know music.

  • @adambakeradam1 Yeah. I gotta have more COWBELL!!!

  • I'm here because of mystery guitar man

  • Ted Kirkpatrick's version is better.

  • Its a musical lock- Willy Wonka

  • Not at all too fast. Also, so wonderfully precise, and the baroque instruments resonate the perfect amount and it's just beautiful.

  • Rachmaninov.

  • are these people in a hurry to go get their lunch ?

  • I'm going to be honest, I prefer this version over others because of the speed. While many are saying that it's too fast, I think it's more expressive with the descending runs towards the end of the piece. It always gives me chills! Beautiful nevertheless!!

  • Pork bellies!!!!! I knew it...I knew it!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I agree. Too fast. I have a recording performed by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Colin Davis(prior to his knighthood). Time: 4mins 09secs. Only eight seconds, but what a difference.

  • I agree. Too fast

  • phenomenal is the right word

  • 3:07

    OMFG CHARLIE HARPER!!! :O

    xDDD

  • too fast:/

  • They're really begining an actuall performance of the opera (from titles can tell). Anybody knows if it's on Youtube? I'd love to see it. = ]

  • I hate this, it's too fast. Presto rapes my mind.

  • Phenomenal rendition indeed! Great sound quality too!!

  • i love how they use instruments of the classical era

  • I know a choir whose sings this song.. it´s very funny.

  • what tuning is it?

  • @TheStevenOoi Bit of a flat D major. Same key as most other versions.

  • @ProfessorPiano oh okay, thanks xD its something like period tuning eh?

  • Love this version and surprisingly the extra fast speed! Just a shame there isn't very good shots of the woodwind section, especially or when the bassoon has that descending solo.. :(

  • Why such a fast tempo? Ok, it's an opera buffa, but common'!

  • Best overture ever.

  • thank god there's no law against raping the like or replay button >.>

  • Charlie and the chocolate factory.

  • This is one of the cleanest, most precise renditions of the overture on YouTube. No muddy instrumental work. Bravo.

  • 13 deslikes of Bieber fans.

  • Mozaaaaaaart!

  • where's the rest of the opera? sure the overture is nice, but its just a taste of the musical genius of mozart's most well known opera.

  • awesome. I'm trying to learn this on electric guitar right now. I don't have "flying fingers" though so it may take awhile. Timeless stuff.

  • @kingv911 i'd be happy just to play to play the trans siberian orchestra's version

  • Great ren dition. Mozart would be proud.

  • 13 barbarians

  • This is music :)

  • Poor clarinets. The stepchild...

  • 13 people doesn't know what real music is. They only know songs Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga.

  • I love this song, but OH MY GOD, the clarinets (me) do NOTHING! XD

  • @AdamMitchyCat I like them...

  • @AdamMitchyCat It's ok. We have the Mozart concerto all to ourselves :)

  • You know there's something wrong with the world when people start hating on *MOZART* I mean, really?

  • Trading places

  • 13 people crashed Figaro's wedding

  • The Treble Chorus of New England actually SANG this piece. We sang every single bow movement, with a different word (do buh do buh do, pah pah, bah bah, etc.) It was really hard, but worth it at the end!

  • Fuc---ing awesome!!!!!!!. This music reminds me mi ex.

  • i was 6/7 years old and loved this, this remains one of my favourite pieces

  • this honestly the hardest piece ive ever tried playing. those notes are RIDICULOUSLY fast omg

  • @JChavsPorsches what instrument do you play? have you tried tchaikovsky's pieces?

  • @TheStevenOoi i play the viola, but im only a 9th grader in high school orchestra, and i have played a version of tchaivosky's 1812 overture-which which was a blast

  • @JChavsPorsches cool i'm a violist too. do you use facebook? perhaps we can be friends

  • damn crescendo's scared the heck outta me 0o

  • Look at 2:48: I didn't know Charlie Sheen played the cello... lol... Very good performance, a little bit faster than I'm used to, but very good.

  • @Bach1Beethoven that's charlie sheen? lol

  • so beautiful!! <3 bass clarinet!! :)

  • @Animefreakazoid234 o.o this piece is not scored for bass clarient

  • @TheStevenOoi

It has a score for the concert band version. Not the orchestral piece

  • @Animefreakazoid234 oh, i see. thanks for the info

  • @canyoueatme24 Ahahah My bad J Was Speaking ToMadkornflakes!

  • I-V-I-V-I-V-I-V

    well played, Mozart...

  • @Zeplovr333 are you referring to triads or something?

  • I Play Cello!

  • @ballzenstain LOL this is the most random comment I've seen on youtube in a long time... It's like you have typing tourette's!

  • nice tune... i like it.

  • Beautifully played!

Although seems a little faster than the tempo he wrote it for?

  • At My Intemediate School Were Playing A Simpler version It's Exciting!

  • @ballzenstain yup same here. what instrument do u play?

  • People who don't understand why people dislike this: they are trolls. You seriously think people ACTUALLY don't like this? Psh. When babies are born, they are born knowing this.

  • 2:42 charlie sheen!

  • Rachmaninoff

  • @chamberl What about him??

  • I was recently asked to join our Full Orchestra Symphony at my High School to play the bassoon part (I'm the only basoonist at the school). At first, i was so terrified when i first heard the song. After like a total of 12 hours practicing over two days, i'm really close to being fairly well with it. All i have to do is just imagine the original while playing and i just get lost in it. Also i've been playing bassoon since Nov. 2010.

  • 11 people disliked this because of 4:01

  • @hargolegend4 no they where deaf

  • Well, I enjoyed that......Loved humming along to it.

  • this song is soooo dam FUN!!^0^

  • we're playing his at the moment. It's amazing:D!

  • you can really hear the quality in this rendition as opposed to the various generic ones that don't do mozart justice. thank you for posting.

  • Losers Mystery Guitar Man Did it Alone

  • thumbs up if u were brought here by Mysteryguitarman

  • Good performance of one of Mozart's best compositions.

  • @scoopmuckanddizzy

They use period instrument. The key is right, but they don’t use the same pitch. Their A is probably around 415Hz, which sounds nearly like a G# when you’re used to a 440 Hz A.

  • THIS MY ALARM CLOCK WHEN I WAKE UP EVERY MORNING...

  • @bigmario323 you have to hate it... =D

  • Hi, does anyone know of filmed recordings of the Magic Flute or the Marriage of Figaro, with English subtitles?

I should like to know the plot line better than I do

  • Thumbs up if you were brought here by Charlie Sheen's Winning Recipes video:-)

  • si, la verdad que es fenomenal esta obra de mozart y muy bien hecha

  • this isn't the right key is it? O.o

  • @scoopmuckanddizzy I think it is. This is the key I played in my college orchestra in December.

  • This reminds me of a mouse being chase by a cat. Looney Tunes anyone?

  • @D00mnukem tom and jerry? that's not looney tunes.

  • @HugeMozartFan Then you will also recall Salieri (or, that is to say, the Salieri of "Amadeus") actively worked against Mozart. N.b. his quick ending of the run of "Don Giovanni.

Of course, this is all a moot point as the real Salieri would have openly loved this fantastic recording. But let me have my humor!

  • 1.54 smiling Jewish beauty :)

  • @Byron10301 how do you know she's Jewish?

  • Intuition, I am right most of the time!

  • i came here after watching mystery guitar man's impossible stop motion guitar...

  • I first heard this song in WarioWare D.I.Y.

  • Why must we argue about taste? What does this accomplish for anyone aside from a sense of superiority?

  • @aquaboy386

Exactly. As Tad Allagash says, "Taste is a matter of taste."

  • The dislikers are spoiled by stupid "musicians" like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. They have absolutely no clue about taste and quality.

  • 8 dislikes are Antonio Salieri's 8 youtube accounts.

  • @iamthesuperbran .... Salieri actually could not help but to really admire Mozart's music. Remember the great scene in "Amadeus" when he is looking at Mozart's manuscripts, hearing the music in his head, and just being totally captivated by Mozart's genius? Love that scene in the film!

  • Seriously? Even THIS has dislikes? Thumbs up if you want to know who the hell doesn't like this.

  • @LordofShadowsII Well, lets just say, they were born fifty years before this song came out and they didn't like that new style of the music we call classical today. ;)

  • @LordofShadowsII No one dislikes it. It's commonly mistaken as a dis-i-like bar.

  • @LordofShadowsII No thanks, I don't even think I want to know them at all. While listening to this music, I couldn't help but thinking he was a true prodigy and a genius for the ages.

  • Seriously? Even THIS has dislikes? Thumbs up if you want to know who the hell doesn't like this?

  • To those who disliked this... I'm disappointed. Seriously guys, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. This is probably the best composition in the history of music, not just classic music... music in general. Long live, Mozart.

  • I could have sex to this.

  • @Bendesho I would have sex with this.

  • This is one of the greatest operas ever composed and performed!

I once walked out after a great fuck with the oven on excuse! She married me 10 years later!

  • @BobE1945 Wait..you fucked, then married, your oven?

  • Good morning Mr Duke......Good morning Mr Duke......

  • @muthafugger i always think of the same thing :)

  • Only on Double Clef FM!

  • Brilliant!

  • they are so together...wow that impresses me

  • applause

  • Oh, Rachmaninov.

  • @nerdfightersftw lololol! Willy Wonka reference, ftw! Was NOT expecting that here!

  • I've never understood conductors. None of their movements ever seem to mirror anything happening in the song.

  • @Supermassively Keep in mind that you're not seeing him 100% of the time in the video. Also, a conductor practices extensively with his orchestra, they learn to read his movements, and he is keeping very good time, if a little fast. There's more to conducting than meets the eye ;)

  • am i the only one who gets reminded of trading places when hearing this?

  • Puts tingles down the spine every time.

  • Just about everything can be improved by cranking it up to Prestissimo! This is like the DragonForce version of Marriage of Figaro! :)

  • My music camp played this and a lots of fun pieces I LOVE THIS PIECE good time

  • @gnrfreak808

no argument that this is a great piece but it doesnt matter where someday finds a taste for it. for one to like it they first have to hear it. =D
