  • pretty good, not much contrast with the cresendos and such. 1st violins rushed like always.

  • I think it's a bit too slow and lost the spirit.

  • @trix094 i completely agree. this doesnt sound so hot haha.

    I was in 8th grade i think.

  • Pretty Good for 8th graders, what are ya'll doing now?

  • @Violinkid05 Thank you, and now that you say that, it's hard to believe that was when I was in 8th grade. Well I'm in the higher orchestra now, Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the person who played with me, Andrew Cleveland, I believe is in the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra.

  • @cellomaniac14 Oh ya'll two are in atlanta, so am I, We should get together some time. Do you have a facebook?

  • @Violinkid05 thank you. this is so weird i just saw this it was such a long time ago.

I am doing videos of cello stuff (click on my channel)

  • is this a college?

because this is a rather easy peice for college students if it is.

    and its a little slow.

    its still a beautiful piece.

  • No, the person on the right with the haircut is me. I was in 8th grade in this video. I'm in 9th now.

  • In the edited copy i have, the recommended speed is 96 crotchet/min. This is just over that, i think it's a decent speed for the piece.

  • minunat!

  • some intonation problems but not bad overall.

  • Interesting how all the violinists seem to be girls haha. I think girls and the violin go together great though!

  • the bad thing about this world is that if they were all boys, you wouldn't even have posted a comment! you wouldn'y even have notice that... unfair isn't it?

  • Yes that's true, it is most certainly a shame - the further you go back, video-wise, the less women there seem to be in orchestras. I'm glad times are changing!

  • erm not bad .. only some violinists had delayed and made some bad ending pitches .

  • how easy is it to be in the orchestra in this college?

  • the orchestra he is playing in is mostly middle school and some early high school and it is semi-competitive to get in. the high school orchestra is highly competitive, and the college orchestra has its own set of rules that we don't know at this point. this jr orchestra played a 30 minute concert as a prelude to the high school orchestra that is sponsored by the college

  • technically it's pretty far from"easy", especially for cellists and violins. this year, out of 26 cellos, 14 made it

however, it doesn't mean it's impossible. the audition is also to see which students have the potential to grow as musicians,

i'd say that if you're fairly experienced with thumb position and stuff, you just need to prepare a good audition. if you're still curious, feel free to message me and i'd be glad to help

  • I don't know 'bout cello but its really easy for violin... I'm 7th grade 3rd chair...

Our solo cellos are both 8th grade, we won gold at a very skilled competition with this.

  • cowboi411 here, i know u know who it is. anyway ur video stinks. just kidding
