At 4:38 when it jumped up and gnawed your leg off I was very frightened for you! J/K great video. I too had never seen one up close, only saw a distant head or heard them smacking their tails to warn each other that I was coming.
Beavers continue to grow their entire life, do get up to a hundred pounds...and are supposedly the only animals besides humans that do it "Missionary Style" so I suppose the churchlike organ music was appropriate :)
They normally weight about 55 lbs max. but they can grow bigger. But I highly doubt 100!! and no, they can not be a human size as she also says. 23 inches max. (exept for the giant beaver, 220 lbs/8.2 ft or more) but its died out over 10.000 years ago so.
Interesting video. No, I am quite sure that this in not the first time mating beavers have been filmed, where ever it was in this clip. These were most likely what they call "bank beavers" if the animals shown were not the builders of the lodge. The music sounds like Edward George Power Biggs.
Nice video. Still didn't see the actual mating though. Sorry about the dead beaver. The background music is a bit annoying though. Leave It To Beaver (smile).
It was a real nice big healthy beaver and a shame it was killed. The power company had been cutting trees by the road and it might have come up to see what was going on & then been hit in unfamiliar territory.
@koc1a0pipes anyone can say the same exact thing about humans

The music sounds rather celtic to me. Accordion, Celtic harp, and fiddle. A sentimental balad or folksong perhaps.

The music in this video sounds to classical for my taste. But the beavers definitely make up for it.
