Having said that, i should point out that OWS ignored the same request made multiple times through various portals. On the other hand, the Occupation of Freedom Plaza in DC was very responsive to the concept, resulting in this section of their issues document: "11. Environment – adopt policies which effectively create a carbon-free and radio-active free energy economy and that respects the rights of nature."

An unaddressed grievance, one that i tried bringing to the attention of your group countless times, is the disregard for The Rights of Nature in Corporate America. I was continually ignored and put off on this matter over a period of months. Note the remark below by subaddict84: where's the democracy? And BTW, votes in Corporate America mean very little.

The document is incomplete. Section 7: Protecting the Planet is anthropocentric. The Rights of Nature remain unaddressed. I tried for months to get the originators to take heed and was ignored. Humans are not alone on this planet. Other lifeforms must have a voice.

Instead they are still marching around, which is commendable, but this will not facilitate the change they want. In the 1960's the protestors finally figured this out. Many went to law school and other joined in the political structure to push change from the inside out. Corporatocracy just hunkers down to weather the storm. Votes change everything!

Also Arizona, voted for prop 203 and that states own so called Governor filed a lawsuit to block what her constituents voted for. Pretty much standard Democratic Party fare. Has OWS been co-opted? No mention about ending US militarism. The student loan forgiveness part should be removed.
