Nice playing and great tone! I have 4 ReBop DLXs (2 FM Flamed Maple 5-string fretted & lined fretless & 2 EX Zebrawood "ZeBops", 4 and 5-strings) and the difference between the tops make a huge difference in their tone. The Maples have a slightly softer, "sweeter" tone (when teamed with my fretless gives one of the nicest recorded fretless sounds I've ever heard) while the Zebrawoods are hugely punchy and with the bolt-on neck joint give an almost "Spector meets Jazz Bass" sound to the bass.
@scarred2112 I am planning to buy a Rebop 5 DLX5 FM in Black Cherry, what I need to know is this bass heavy or light..thanks and wait for your reply..
@trinikiri A "ReBop 5 DLX FM" in Black Cherry is going to be *extremely* light between the use of two fairly light woods of Alder & Maple in the smallish Spector body (the bass in the photo above with a Zebrawood top is substantially heavier). My First Spector was that in Black Cherryburst and still gets played a lot, even though it has the most different pickups of all my basses, active EMG 40P5/40DCs compared to the passive Nordstrand Big Singles in my other 3. You're going to love it... :D
dude! new mix with the bass UP! WAY UP!
