I love your enclosure. I lost one of my cats last year, so now all my kitties enjoy their new outdoor cat enclosure. They are also cleaner now that they're not wandering around outside and I don't have to worry about them getting poisoned, hit by a car, or getting hurt in cat fights. Bravo for you!
just let the damn thing outside, it would like it better that way, leave the garage door cracked and it will go in and out as it pleases. If i were i a cat i would hate not being able to go outside and hunt around in the outdoors.
My cats are both ex-strays that once roamed on the streets. They have experienced the danger out there. That's why they don't leave our house even when the door is open. We built this enclosure so they can enjoy the outdoor without any worries. They immediately liked it because they knew it's safe.
Not all cats like to roam outside like you imagine, especially when they have been out there and know the danger.
@MyLifeAsNemo ..... I agree. Cats that "roam" as they please have shorter lives because of disease, fights, getting poisoned by A-holes on purpose or licking anti-freeze by mistake, hit by a car & a million other ways. I'm sure my human kids would love to roam as they please but I care too much about them to let them and your enclosure is the best way to let them have an outdoor experience without endangering their lives. Good job Nemo's MaMa!!!! Your strays were lucky cats to find u!

I want to build an outdoor cat enclosure for my cats but don't know how much it would be I want it to be about the same size as yours but can you tell me how much was it?
I dont recall exactly how much it was but I think it was about CAN$150, cat furniture excluded. I think you can build it for less if you make it a permanent fixture. We designed ours to be portable. The larger panels can be folded in half for storage. The sisal ropes on the posts get moldy very quickly in our weather. Its probably better to make the scratching post portable so you can bring it inside on rainy days.
We did the same thing we built an enclosure n some disliked our video. Why?? Because we want 2 keep our pets safe??
