Braedi14, you are definitely right that all birth control pills have increased risk of these side effects compared to not using a birth control pill. The allegation with Yasmin/Yaz is that they have a significantly greater risk of these types of types of side effects compared to other available oral contraceptives, but the warning given is that the risks are the same as other oral contraceptives. It is important to be provided with a warning of the true risks in deciding what to use.
all birth controls have these side effects that may occur :/ I was on yasmin, and nothing happened to me; i switched to another pill, just incase, but still; all these side effects can happen, regardless what birth control you take.
After being on and off of birth control (Not Yaz), I have developed cysts on my ovaries. They come and go, and are often painful. I talked to a few girls and they seem to feel it was a result of using birth control. I am pissed that I will have this the rest of my life, whether it was from the pills or not.
All I can say is that taking birth control fucks with your body's natural hormone levels. So, I think you should only take it if you REALLY need to girls.
I did take Yazmin or Yaz, I can't remember exactly which one, because I had some health problem requiring them, and I'm kind of scared a bit...I mean, it's stupid that everywhere in this world, everything kills us. No body can make anything good for us. Not even food. Food as to be certified Biologic to be really biologic. And even there, 97% is not even bio. They are all liars. So why do we kill each others? Can't they just make so pill without shit in it?
Thanks for posting. That is a common misconception. While it is certainly correct that all oral contraceptives can cause these types of serious injuries, the allegation in the class action supported by recent scientific studies is that the risks of developing one of these serious side effects is significantly higher with Yasmin/Yaz than with safer oral contraceptives, but the warning given is that the risks are the same. Many individuals would not choose to use a product with higher risks.
Like honestly. Any drug you take has side effects.. especially any form of contraceptive pill. And it's like people are failing to notice that every other contraceptive pill has the EXACTLY SAME risks.
Show some number before misguiding sooo many women from this And after you find the numbers, then compare them to complications with tylenol. I bet youll find that tylenol is more harmful.
omg im on that and i got some side affect so im off know but what do i do so i wont get kids other then the condum is there other birth pill or no are they all the same??
@ammkuamaya Thank you for reaching out. All oral contraceptives are not the same. What makes Yasmin & Yaz unique is they contain drospirenone, a progestin not found in traditional birth control drugs. Please talk to a doctor so you know what options are available to you. If you've experienced side effects from Yasmin or Yaz, contact our office to learn more about the class action (see page listed in video) and see if it applies to you.
We agree it's important everyone carefully reads package warnings. The allegation in this particular class action is that Yasmin/Yaz's warnings are deficient and that there is evidence of an increased risk of serious side effects from using Yasmin or Yaz that is greater than that with other types of birth control drugs but the warning given is that the risk is the same.
Yep, I am properly informed about the pill I take because I DO READ the paper inside...! Read "thousands of american woman filling lawsuits", just read! Did you really think taking a lot of hormones what doesnt let you get pregnant gonna be unharmfull for you??? There is potential harmful side effects in ALL DRUGS people, so dont blame companies for your own stupidity, you are the ones taking them without using your brain!
