  • Boy, does he bring back happy memories of my childhood!!

RIP & God Bless, we'll miss you!!

  • My father worked his ass off, while this guy acted like a fool and lived on easy street because of all the suckers out there. This guy was talentless.

  • I'll bet your father never made millions of kids lives better by his being in the world. Go blow yourself.

  • JC, qusarah, please tell me you are just flamethrowing. If you are, that was pretty funny. If you are not, are you really wound that tight? Do you also not like Santa Claus?

  • qusarah, Look in the mirror and see the real fool!

  • Me and my brothers loved Saturday in front of the TV with Soupy, White Fang and Black Tooth. The silliness really struck a chord with us. We still talk about him. And do the "luh uh uhhh!"

  • THANK YOU Mr. S S for the Laughs.. the memories and most importantly, the Style!

    RIP my Friend.. Well Deserved...

  • Rest in peace Soupy. You will always be remembered.

  • ny god i dont reconize him dammm

  • Good night Soupy. RIP

  • RIP, Mr. Supman.

  • 12:00 pm saturday and when the air raid sirens blew, Soupy was coming on. The greatest saturday afternoon show ever. Ranks right up there with Sandy Becker and Chuck McAnn. Great times, wish there was more recordings out there.

  • @moonshinerman Thanks for reminding me ,about the 12:00 lunch time sirens , that was probably a NYC tradition, i remember as a child, we always knew when it was lunch time, did'nt need a watch ! I watched all the 50's60's kids show's too. Terrytoon Circus ,channel 9, was always bedtime , when Claude Kirchner would say '' and now its time for most of you girls and boys to go to bed ''. Great memories , still fresh in my mind .

  • Soupy Sales Real Name Milton Supman born 1926. WOW what a comedian. I taught my kids Whaite Fang & Black Tooth & they have taught it to their kids. Enjoyable History should live on

  • Soupy Sales Real Name Milton Supman born 1926. WOW what a comedian

  • I can remember when Soupy would play Philo Kavetch(the P.I.) & Onions Oregano on Saturday morning. I did teach my kids White Fang & Black Tooth & how to do the MOUSE. Now they are teaching their kids tradition & good history must live on.

  • Hey the man is in his 80's Is there any way Comedy Channel can do a special for him while there is still time. Soupy had a brief radio show following Don Imus and Howard Stern, both amateurs compared to Soup

  • How sad to see Soupy in that condition. Did he have too much to drink or did the pharmaceutical Nazis got to him and pumped him up with drugs. Medical marijuana has got to be better.

  • Soupy Sales, I watched him when I was a kid and I still respect this wonderful human being.

    God bless you, Soupy!

  • You said "1902 to 2002" What is it you are talking about .. ?

  • Soupy Sales was interviewed at the Friars Club during the 100th Anniversary in 2002. Therefore, 1902 + 100 = 2002.

  • 1902 to 2002, wow! And though Soupy was fairly 'clean' with his act, I've heard he could tell a 'blue joke' better than the best of them. I believe I heard as well that the Friar's was going downhill at the time, and it was Soupy that rejuvenated it and really spiced things up there with his buddies and roasts and all. Such an unsung hero, but no truer fans you will ever find! :)

  • We love you Soupy!!!

  • Wow! Soupy hasn't changed much at all.

  • The Best!!!! was White Fang There?

  • Soupy is one of comedy's all-time greats. Would have been nice if the interviewer had let him get a word in edgewise!

  • What a sweet man. If only the clock could be turned back.

    Are there any more videos?

How about Hippy, Hobart & Riba and the "Biggest and Sweetest Dog In The Younited States, Black Tooth."

Does anyone know the name of the WNEW floor crew guy with the high pitched laugh? 405+ years later I still hit the floor when I hear it. The off camera laughing was half the fun.

    Soupy Forever!!!!

  • Brother- I'm right with ya! Let's do the Soupy Shuffle.

  • I grew up on Soupy; I LOVED the guy....Is Soupy still living?

    GOD Bless you Soup!!

  • What a blessing this man was in such a simpler time. 1960's an innocent and simpler time? Who'da thunk?

God Bless You Soupy, for your characters, and their love. God you make me want to go "home"....

  • Soupy is one of the nicest people you cold meet. We waited for him to come from back stage at the bottom line, he greeted us like he knew us all of his life.

There will be only one Soupy in this world, and he's it.

A long and healthy life to you, Soup

    God Bless.

  • god bless soupy, pioneer in T.V., Great improviser, many years of health to you!

  • is he still healthy enough to get a pie in the face?

  • If not, I would in his honor. The world could use another Soupy right now.

  • Soupy forever!!!

  • Soupy's 81 wow!! I Can't believe it, I named my 2nd dog Pookie after his 60's show. Soupy's the greatest. Thanks for the interview.

  • I named my cat (greatest cat EVER!), may he rest in peace, I loved him, Pookie, after Soupy's show!

Love the bit when Soupy kisses Pook and Pookie pauses, then spits! ha ha

  • How old would he be now? I guess he was at least in his late 20s at the height of his fame, plus 45 years--early 70s?

  • Birthday: January 8, 1926

    Birth Place: Franklinton,N. C.

    Birth Name: Milton Supman

  • Wow-Where is Soupy now? I went to his show in 1965 and took some photos with him at WNEW. What a great TV show. Where's Frank who did Fang and Pookie?

  • Soupy is still around. I think he lives in New York. Sadly, Frank passed away in 2004.
