While I do like Brian May, and enjoy Queens music, this improvisation Isn't all that good and it certainly can't be called a solo. Sure, noodling around with Delay effects is fun, and while I do like guitarists who can just chillax and make some soothing sounds and smart stringing with the guitar, the power cords kills the mood. Staying on the exact same rythm and strumming throughout the part doesn't help either. How is it that this is being applauded?

But what a lot of people forget is how great the rest of the band is at their own instruments. Brian May is probably one of the most underrated guitarists of all time and should listed in the ranks Hendrix, Berry, Van Halen, and Paige as one of the best and most influential ever.

It wasn't his cable that went funny. When he changed his pickup selector switch he didn't press it down properly. His pickups are wired in series to if one isn't connected properly none of them will work.

I think a lot of people dont appreciate how difficult that is to do. It sounds simple and may only be very simple not patterns and scares, but it is sooo easy for it to just run away with you and you mess the timings up. I know...Ive tried it!

Because of seeing pictures on Live Killers and live footage from the late 1977 to 1982 period of Brian May I actually started wearing the Nike Cortez again permanently in 1993 once I found the identical color pattern (I had an all black pair but the white and red kick ass). Greatest sneaker ever made. Eat your hearts out Reebok and Adidas. Also Brian is one of my favorite guitarists and also a rare breed of rock stars who never smoked or did drugs (drank rarely but he's aged superb).
