In l4d/2, you can be killed through most walls if you're close enough... and if you're too close to the wall that parts of you can be seen... well he/she/they know where you are and will most likely wait and kill or move on if they can't get you without being left behind by the team. If you have headphones, you can easily tell where they are, but maybe not exactly.

sometimes people do cheat. In L4D 2 i was playing and this guy got this hack that got headshots ONLY and even if he was firing forwards he could hit from behind. No matter where he fired, it would hit you as long as you were in range. It took our whole team to take down that one guy. Otherwise, cheaters are really rare.

How can you people think he was hacking... In the video, you can clearly see the hunters clipping through the walls. This happens in pretty much all games. I see this kind of stuff in Halo, CoD, and pretty much every other online multiplayer game. If you've got thin walls, there will probably be clipping. Whether or not you can be shot through the wall is a matter of how the hit detection works.

Like you haven't ever seen a Boomer arm or a Hunter's claw sticking out from a wall. It's not a cheat. It's an imperfection in the game, just like the fact that you can see the shadows of things. Look underneath a table with weapons on it. You'll see the shadow of the weapons on the floor under the table. That doesn't make it cheating.

I use this to my advantage whenever i can, especially if my teammates decide to ragequit on the finale. as an infected, this has happened to me many times. Solution:

Hide better

I never lean up against the wall, if the room is dark, most likely, survivors wont see you until its too late.

All in all, If you cant accept people are better at seeing heads thru walls than you are, i suppose all you can say to defend yourself is "cheater"

@InfertiIity I was called the samething from my friends, both on same teams in a l4d2 friends vs on my b-day... one friend who lost by less than 100 points accused me of hacking by kill them just as they spawn... idk if he was aware that I had a sniper rifle, sometimes assault, and can make good guess on where they are zoom and unzoomed. Also said i hacked by killing through walls... again that's possible but only one layer of wall. Most of my shots were dumb luck and findings dumb luck too :(.
