Dr Gunther von Hagens is passionate about his work. Because of what he does a lot of people do not like it. I think he is great. A true character with a great sense of humour. Why should people shy away from death like it is something taboo? His exhibitions and programs are truly educational and people who do not like them do not need to watch them. It is a matter of choice just like the people he uses who have freely donated their cadavers to him had a choice. Keep it up Gunther! Amazing work!

this is in no way any education but an individual's claim to fame in name of "education".

We owe to those deceased, that we respect their remains and use it in "real education" with respect instead of fancy shows.

Dissection is education when it is done by students of anatomy in a dissection hall for purpose of understanding human anatomy.

i regret not seeing his exhibit when it was around town a few years ago. i'm an artist and am really just falling in love with the human body. how everything interacts and works together. i'd love to study some of these exibits if i'd ever be allowed to. i don't know if i have any specific questions, but this was good to watch! i didnt know much about his background. i think having a strong medical background would enable you to respect the body more than be disgusted by it.

If I were to be treated, I would prefer much more that someone disassociate themselves from me in order that they achieve the highest amount of concentration

I wouldn't ask, I would cling and say, "where have you been all my life?!" Ever since I was little I was in love with human anatomy, but had difficulty reading so I looked at pictures. When I was nine I completed an anatomy model based on what I had seen in pictures and used it in my class and taught my 3rd grade class about muscles and bones. For a long time I had lost my love for Anatomy, but Professor Von Hagens revived it. So to Professor Von Hagens I say, "Danke!"

I would first ask him if he gets his "supply" from Chinese Labor camps. He would of course deny that.

Than i would tell him that according to an estimate he gets about a 100 corpses a day and ask him if this is about right (he might claim that the number is a bit lower - but one way or another his supply of corpses is pretty large and he can't deny that).

Than i would ask him to show me all of those certificates. (as in the past he won't be able to).

I would than ask the first question again.

I think you are confusing exhibitions. The exhibitions of Dr Von Hagens are called Body Worlds and they get their body supplies from willing donations. But there is another exhibition called Bodies that gets its supplies from China, but this exhibition has absolutely nothing to do with Dr Von Hagens, they're just copycats.
