@imuadude troll much. I'm not even going to engage you brother. you don know anything about how long I've been a martial arts praticioner or what style I'm proficient in or anything. STFU.
I liked your video about stick fighting techniques, I wanted to invited you to come watch my stick fighting music videos that I believe you will enjoy, you can also hotlink anywhere you wish, let me know what you thought of it too.
Yeah, this is just a recruitment demo reel for the school. They're just doing a little 6 count heaven and earth for the "fight" choreography. I don't know about that guy in the beginning. Was it some kung fu mixed in there? Didn't look like Arnis. Great drumming though. I always love that aspect of the art. The Thai drums for Muay Thai kick ass too!
The first student showcased his sayaw more like a routine than training for an actual fight... I'd rather see less flashy and more down to the earth, basic attacks and blocks on those demos.
@66Shogun66 come down to san diego and we'll do some sparring. drill above during testing was "carenza de numero" meaning feeding by the numbers that appears choreograph, then there is "carenza libre", attack by random order then we picking/sambrada and full-contact sparring.
I trained in arnis for a short time and absolutely loved it. Combined with kenpo (a martial art utilizing empty hands) and grappling, I find that there is a perfect balance between armed hands, empty hands and ground fighting.
Hopefully I'll get to train it in again one day. This is quite an excellent demonstration. 5 stars.
The guy in red is Master Mario Gajo who fought in the GrandMasters and Masters Challenge tournament . If you want to see how he fights just type his name. I dare you to challenge him or any of the guys on this video. I myself don't have any martial arts training but when I do decide to train I would train with these guys.
Hi. I am a karateka, and I am thinking about taking up arnis. Can anyone tell me what pinoy means? Can any of this be done with a heavier stick? Thanks for any help anyone can give. I know nothing about stick fighting but I would like to learn. By the way... some of you guys are getting pretty pissed on here. lol
Arnis - is considered as an extended hand technique even without the sticks the moves are still the same when you use them in fight, though it will differ a little.
About the Heavier sticks? Maybe you may even use metals. It's just avoided because it is heavier and deadlier. No one wants to die in this sport we are not in a war to shift into those deadly practice.^_^
put3ska666: FUCK TURD, You got it right, we are "WARRIORS" remember that. How do you think the .45 calibre 1911 was invented? it's because of our WARRIOR race. We killed Magellan using the Arnis and I would love it use it to piped it up your FUCK ASS. Get your spelling correct you illiterate SON OF A WHORE!
Philippines sucks eh? I'll bet that after a good thrashing from one of those guys in the vid you'd think differently. Or if not, at least you'll have some new found respect (whether it stems from fear or not, that's up to you) for our warrior race.
The first man was discovered in Africa 2.4 million years ago (Physical Anthropology class). The first civilizations were in the Middle East (Mesopotamia, now Iraq) 5000 years ago and North Africa, Egypt (Western Civilization Class) 3000 years ago. Read to achieve. or get some books on tape.
that sound is not african music stupid! thats them traditional sound in asia we have seen asian instruments in museums! get ur shit right!dnt comment if ur stupid! vaffanculo puta tunna!!!!
ernesto presas is possibly one of the best in history. but i don't agree that just because you're of a different race, you can't master arnis. if a person can, he can. period. doesn't matter if he's black, white, checkered, or spotted.
I agree with cybertekcafe. I looks good if you dont know much about arnis. Those are pretty basic routines. The two stick thing is also very simple. Good intro video nonetheless
no offensement, but they are doing a green belts routine, if u wanna see the real thing, look for Ernesto Presas or his students, aangat pwet mo sa routine nila. but this one is not bad.
I don't like the fact that this old Filipino way of fighting have made it out in the U.S. I saw this white guy on T.V once - giving instructions on how to do Eskrima/Kamagong, with a title of "Master Instructor". Common now....
My instructors are sweedish and french, but they've got a filippino guru... The sweede is Johan Skålberg, and the frenchie is Jeff Espinous - google them ;)
jackkedrabbit, and 66shogun66, it is obvious you both are beginner students or worship some high pubah.

it seems not to be arnis... this was a choreographie, but arnis is based on action and reaction. fighting with sticks is not the aim of this sport
