This, as a Brit living in the South of France, has made me angry. Can you imagine a beret headed fag smoking guy with onions round his neck turning up at a Leeds market and selling Yorkshire pudding..saying the French invented them.. On reflection , I think the French reaction is understandable and actually quite reasonable.

Imagine if a German turned up at a Market in the UK , claiming that Fish and Chips, Jellied Eels and Yorkshire Pudding were German inventions... could get messy.
