"Fool if You Think It's Over" , "On the Beach" and "Steel River" were also big hits and got a lot of airplay back in the late 70's and 80's. Just about every song this guy has written is magical due to his unique blend of powerful vocals and amazing riff slide guitar work. Whoever mentioned one hit wonder doesn't know whats going on in the music world and should do a little research.

God damn I adore this song; it was used in a television advert for the Ford "Probe" sports car, which actually was a flop(the car, not the song);) Fantastic song; great groove. Ironically a great driving song:) But not in a Ford Probe apparently xD

I got the album as a Christmas present in about 1989, I think, on cassette. I'd always liked Chris Rea's "softer" stuff, but this just blew my socks off! Loved it then and love it now, I've got goosebumps listening to him make that guitar howl.

Season 5 is better than 4. It has more Shootouts, more chases, and no more rudiculous eps like The big thaw, Cows of october or Missing Hours. S5 style is similar to s3 but eps overall are even darker.

I used to love hearing this song on the radio when I was a kid. It seemed like WQUT (East Tennessee) would play it all the time. I think they played the extended mix too. Classic rock stations should bring some of Chris's songs back in rotation.

Chris Rea one of my all time favorites Rememberin the days that we were drivin to Austria for another skitrip in our Saab 99 turbo and Chris Rea at volume 10. I quess it was between 84 and 89. Rockin with mi dad and Mom. Gotta love it.
