@darkwhitty Yes, it doesn't start with this scene. It's a scene where Eddie is at the playing table with Harry the Hatchet, and he talks about some rules or tricks in poker. Half of that scene is a close-up of his face, his eyes and we can see his scratched nose, which happens later in the movie, then his lips while talking.

You see it's scene's like this that tell me that Jason Statham is a better actor than the roles he picks. He has the opening monologue in his first real movie and he handles it masterfully, like he's been acting for years. Watch him in Revolver and any doubts about his acting ability will be abolished.
