I'm 33yo and about 2 years ago my GF at the time wanted to go to Cuba Rd. She said she was seeing stuff left and right, but not me. One thing that did happen very clearly was the truck that chases people down. I didn't even hear it pull up behind us but I swear it barreled down right on my bumper as we sped away. About 15sec of it on my tail and the truck's lights went out and was gone. Ghost or some guys in a truck that get a kick out of scaring people, I'm not sure which.

i live in palatine, i've been here dozens of times and seen some weird stuff. once we were stopped in the road outside the cemetery and there's that one light over the path in the middle. out of the corner of my eye i saw something black move across a tombstone, but when i looked over there i couldn't see anything. about 2 seconds later my friend drove away super fast, and he said he saw something black moving towards us. i didn't even say anything until after that so we both saw the same thing.

A group of my friends and I had a run in with this "disappearing truck" late one night. A large truck turned on it's headlights from behind us out of the darkness and tailgated us off on to a side road. Simultaneously we looked back at this truck to see it riding very closely behind us down a steep hill, and without explanation the truck was gone with no where to turn off of from where we were at, especially from how close it was to our car. My best explanation is that it's the local milk truck.

hmmm, I live just by cuba road, it's just outside my window, and the only real "scary" story I heard about is a bus drover who died in cuba, most of what I hear is about is the old town in long grove.

I want to hear more about the little shack. I heard in a story that there was blood on the walls and bones on the floor. When she saw the sign for Rainbow Road (or Cuba Road) and took a picture, in the picture was a little picture of people hanging off a bridge.

Hello All:

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but I lived less than a 1/4 mile from White Cemetary, have two siblings buried there, and there is nothing to the "ghosts", disembodied voices, etc. I've walked past WC many times in the dark, gone there to pay my respects to my siblings, etc. many times, lived there for 20 years (on Cuba Road) and there is nothing there but graves, and occasionally teenagers drinking beer. Sorry.

I've been to Cuba road a few times.. 3676 Cuba Road, there is a white fence on the south side of the road, look down into the gully. You might just find some crosses and flowers. Just past that at about 3682 Cuba Rd, there is an old white scary barn just behind the tree line. This Barn is said to disapear around 3am, Also, 26576 Cty A46, just past white cemetary, there is a old red church.

Now there is another place to check out. It is called Donlea Road. Spacifically, the old section in the Potawatomi Woods.

I live by this road. The road is small,dark and in some places hilly. I have never seen any ghosts or anything from stories that I have heard of. One time I was driving by the cemetry doing 45mph. A car pulled out of nowhere and was gaining on me kind of fast. I was starting to get a little scared, but then I saw the blue and red lights. I got a ticket for doing 15 mphs over the speed limit in wet conditions.

dude i live in crystal lake, which is really close to that place, same as that guy on the video. me and my bros were driving down the road, we were really bored, and he tells me that cars disappear. i didnt really believe hime. so he tells me to keep looking back when cars pass by, and i see these two cars turning, and then it was like they just got covered up by a black wall. IT WAS FREAKY AS HELL!!!

i went there 1 am today and there was only a deer and raccoon and a cat, we had to stop and let someone go pee in a bush, that was the scariest part! oh and we went down a second time and there was a whole Mexican family just walking down the road right next to the cemetery. It wasn't that scary though...

i been a resedent for over 30 years and travel on cuba road servel times a week and i have ansiterys the had proterty from cuba rd to old mchenry to rt 22 in the early years and this bit of goshts and that is a legend and not true. my family live on that road . i never seen anything

@rockprogmetal really what did you feel? fear cause you scared your self into believing something exists when it doesn't? i went to that cemetery and stood right in front of the gate and looked in for 5 minutes i saw nothing, i heard nothing absolutely nothing out of the ordinary happened not calling you a liar but if all you have to go on is your feelings and you haven't experienced anything else there thats pretty weak evidence of a haunting i even challenged them the ghosts or what ever is

@cronicjointpain I didnt go in there with a scared mine but with a very neutral one. I am very in tune to what i feel so i know an odd feeling when i come across one. And with the ghost car story...my father saw it in broad daylight well in the afternoon. As far as pictures go, i have many photos of orbs that are too big to be water drops or dust particles. They come in different shapes and sizes with mostly a blue plasma color to them. What got me was they didnt appear in all of the pictures.

He said he did take a photo of the so called phantom house without knowing it would disappear. Oddly enough the film would never develop on that picture while all the other ones would. It really messed with him because he wasnt even aware that the area was known to be haunted, he found out about it 10 years later.

You seem like you rely on the ignorant thought that ghosts are going to pop out at you and chase you out....which in my opinion is stupid. Alot of these extreme and direct situations all happen very rarely. I do have my proof and i stand by it, you can deny it all you want, but me and all of these other people wont..because we know what we felt / saw

@rockprogmetal experience something there, my mom lived close to there when she was a teen and was with 2 friends and they said they saw someone hanging from a tree and they said they saw spirits but it has basically been proven that there are natural chemicals in the brain that can cause you to hallucinate and see something if you believe its real, i just don't understand how basically the only people who see things there are believers in the supernatural but the skeptics typically don't see

@cronicjointpain Other than the photos and descriptions of feelings, i have no other direct proof of stuff happening here, i wish i did have more however. With me, i never really call out to any spirits to show themselves since it can irritated something you cannot control and plus ive done the same and it hasnt worked. The whole being in a neutral mind thing has def worked alot more for me, since sprits can sense your intentions. Its better to come in wanting a visit rather than a show lol.

But I cant really post the photos because i captured them using a film camera and dont have them in files on my computer, but i am not bullshitting you by any means lol. I would honestly recommend just taking another trip out there but spend a good couple hours inside the yard with a neutral mind, especially around dark and maybe just come back more than once. If nothing happens to you then, then you have every right to think that its not haunted.

I grew up two blocks away. totally true, My best friend lived across from white cemetery. One night we were watching TV there and his mother stormed in to tell us that glowing balls were hovering over the street. We wandered outside into the night and walked up to Cuba road... Yep, three glowing orbs bouncing and hovering five feet in front of us. We weren't scared... just amazed! I walked right through one, we all did. I was waiting for the X files to show up. Cuba road is very Haunted

I grew up near Cuba Rd, and when I was in 7th grade (1977) a friend of mine found a dead body while riding her horse down Cuba Rd. strangled with piano wire.

I didn't realize it's become such a "ghost hunter" location.

There's a secret graveyard in the area, but I won't say where because it will get over run

I went down Cuba Road so many times while in HS in the late 80s with friends... Anyway, I only saw one weird thing in all the countless times I've been there... I can't recall exactly where, but it was "before" the cemetery. I was with 3 friends and we saw a large circular bright light/orb. The light was in the center of the road, about as high as a power line would be above, it didn't move, and there is no way it was any sort of reflection. Never did see the supposed phantom car though. :)

yesterday when me and my parents drove past the cemetary on the way home we were followed by a black car.but whenever the headlights of cars going in the other direction hit the car.you still couldnt see it.like floating headlights.and i didnt think anything if it at the time when i saw it but when the guy in this vid mentioned animal sacrifices and chicken bones i just want to say that when we made a turn i saw a white chicken for a split second by the road.but i thought i just hallucinated.

i see stuff on that road all the time, i was once on my way back to my house and i see a little girl crossing the road, she was dressed in a very old dress, probably from the early 1800's. I stoped my car and she just kept walking, not even looking at me and than before i could realize what was going on she literally disappered. It was a amazing experiance.
