This FedEx commercial came out for a Superbowl in the mid 90's. It was pretty funny and I was proud of that commercial because I too, worked for FedEx. About it later being banned due to others trying to copy breathing in helium, it's understood to be concerned about influencing a harmful behavior for many people but all in all, it was a funny commercial that got the FedEx word out...$;-)

Yep it was pulled quickly because STUPID people complained, Scuba divers breath a heleum / oxygen mix below 200 feet, Jaques Cousteau and EVERY other deep diver since the 1950's has been breathing a helium oxygen mix, there are NO other side effects the than the voice, & NOT dying as Nitrogen Narcosis KILLS divers below 200 feet if you do not replace the nitrogen with helium.

I love this- too bad they stopped airing it after parental complaints that kids would start inhaling helium form balloons and fry their brains- as if kids, or their parents for that matter, never did that before. PC fears gone mad!!! Thanks for the post.

Jeez...they pulled it b/c some stupid parents didn't explain to their kids that this was just a TV commercial, and it could be harmful to suck helium in real life? It reminds me of how Beavis and Butt-Head were moved from 7 to 10:30 PM after some kid burned down his family's trailer and killed his sister.
