What a fantastic player Kopa was! When he arrived at Real Madrid he became a right-winger even though he was a centerforward. And yet, his exploits in the right flank were both effective and pioneering. Much was learned from his antics and the attacking work with Di Stefano, Gento, Rial and Puskas
he used to play on the right side of the attack, even with Reims. They try to put him as a centerforward in Madrid for 2 or 3 games, with Gento as a second forward (instead of left-winger) and with Di Stefano in the middlefield. They scored more goals than usual ! but Di Stefano quickly asked Saporta and Bernabeu to regain his favorite position (even through he has been excellent in the middle field). I red it in the Kopa's biographic book.
