OMG I literally....LITERALLY.....was crying with laughter so much I had to suppress it and get into the mens room because Im watching this at work!! I HOWLED.
@CourtD Indeed. And Maurice LaMarche did a stand up bit about seeing him as his character from Taxi...and the impression is almost exactly the same as Pollack's.
Does anyone know where I can find "Stop With The Kicking" on DVD. I had this recorded on VHS from HBO but my VCR ate the tape. This is Kevin Pollack at his best.
I know Robin Williams was Chekov but am not sure of the Rest. I think DeNiro was Spock and Jack Nicholson was McCoy and Keith Richards as Scotty? I think the Alien was Richard Simmons.
@BenjaminWirtz actually, Spock was Chris Lloyd's character Ignatowski from the show 'Taxi'; you got Jack for Bones; Scotty was Dudley Moore as in 'Arthur'. The 'alien' was the skater Brian Boitano; Kevin references him in an earlier part of this stand-up routine..I'd love to find the whole thing again!
@BenjaminWirtz: Christopher Lloyd was Spock, but in his "Reverend Jim" character from Taxi which he was mostly known for when this video was made. Jack Nicholson was, indeed, McCoy. The late Dudley Moore was Scotty, but he's probably not remembered now as well as he was back then, and I assume the alien was Brian Boitano. Hey, what would Brian Boitano do?!
What's truly frightening is the fact that I have a sweater similar to what Mr. Pollack's wearing in this clip, and photos exist of myself wearing it. Hold me?
@counterclockwise123 Yep. Not only that: Kevin Pollak laid the groundwork for most other people's impersonations of William Shatner. I didn't see or hear ANYONE doing this before Pollak.
@residualbill Yeah, he does that line incredibly like Shatner..& also "dammit Scotty man." Also, look up 'Joe Alaskey The Forgotten Impressionist' on Youtube & watch him do great Kirk, Nicholson, Honeymooners & others. This vid, plus the one Pollak did in San Diego, & Alaskey at a televised comedy club are my favorites.

Don't mean to be negative nancy but I think Seth Macfarlane totally ripped off this impression. Not a big shocker.

Totally, but Pollack just ripped off of Robin Williams, Christopher Lloyd, Jack Nicholson, and some other guy.
