  • Great memories...what a golden voice!

  • This man ranks among the greatest popular singers ever. . .anywhere!

  • I think Don Cherry is one of the best singer that ever lived. I also have had the opportunity watch him play golf and he was a great one. I would love to see a movie made of his life...... NO ONE has been this great in two careers. WOW!! what a story

Check his web site doncherry.us A NATIONAL TREASURE

  • Don Cherry is in my opinion the greatest singer i ever heard and is as good today as ever. check out his web doncherry.us This web site was directed and produced by his beautiful wife of 17 years Francine Cherry and Don said he has found his soul mate for life.

    thankyou.

  • Didn't Don record a tune called "Thinking of You" about 1950? It was one of my favorites back then.

  • That's my mom on the cover of the album! Most beautiful woman in the world! Thanks for sharing my dad's music!

  • I'm proud to say that the woman on the album is my grandmother.

  • funny thing its my mom you

  • Lovely version

Don Cherry and Jerry Vale are very similar style of singers (two of my favourites).

I wish we could bring all of the great crooners from the past into the present, but I guess that is what people like GoldenOldies101 is doing by keeping their music alive.

Thank God for records of the past, for I would be lost without my oldies.

    Thanks for the post

  • ooo sweet memories. My late husband and I stumbled onto Don Cherry live in the main lounge at the Riviera 20 yrs ago while we waited for a theater show to begin. He sang Little Band of Gold. I'll always have that sweet sweet memory.

  • I used to sit in the Starlight theatre at the

Desert Inn at Las Vegas and listen to Don Cherry sing and tell golf stories.

With Charlie Shaffer at the piano among others in the early 1990's .

He used to sing 'It Isn't Fair' for me by request...he used to kid that I mixed him up with Don Cornel But I really had no idea who Don Cornell was.

I Love Don Cherry! He gave me one of his albums and signed it.

He dressed beautifully...I mean he had a flashy but tasteful wardrobe.

  • I just had to reply to you.

    I'm his daughter.

I used to love to go see him too! Sometimes he'd let me come up and sing with him.

I'm glad there are still people out there that appreciate his music.

He's still singing after all these years. Not at quite the pace he used to, but he still sounds as good as he did then!

    All the best to you!

  • @ladysabryn How could anyone not appreciate this magnificent singer? He has been a favorite of mine since I was just a boy more than 55 years ago.

  • and Perry....

  • Always liked his singing. Two Thumbs Up!

Hope you post more of his songs.
