  • I love my potbellied pigs. I've had potbellied pigs for 20 years, and couldn't ask for better pets. adaylia is right, not ALL exotic pets get forgotten or throw away, I would never get rid of mine!

  • This pig is only a newborn, and newborns DO grow up. There are breeders who misinform people, telling people their pigs will stay that tiny, but when the pig gets average size (knee-high), people give up their pigs because the pig "got too big." Hundreds of pigs are in shelters & sanctuaries for this reason. Do not believe the lie about micro-mini or teacup pigs. The reason we can say potbellied pigs are "miniature" is because they ARE miniature when compared to farm hogs. See scampp.com.

  • this is one of the best videos i've seen in a long time, but the audio track was erased because of new copyright provisos.

  • Now that is 2 cool!!

  • My Version has audio, no joke. Check it out!

  • what breed of pig is kingsford?

  • If only it would stay that size and not turn into a gigantic fat pig, kinda like my ex-wife did.

  • dude that is hilarious

  • Watch out for swine flu...

  • Ignorant Douche Bag...!

  • I think it is absolutley adorable and is the cutest thing I have ever seen!

  • not all exotic pets get forgotten or "thrown away".

Lighten up ppl and enjoy the cuteness that is Kingsford!

  • omg this is the cutest thing I've ever seen! This just made my day!

  • I agree with Dix, living creatures are not toys that can be shelved after you're bored or they stop being cute. Sadly many people don't think things through when they get animals so a lot of suffering occurs. Don't curse people for trying to educate the public. If people were more responsible everyone's lives would be better.

  • i hope he continues to be loved by his family for all of his years.

  • This was adorable! Thanks for sharing it.

  • kinda sad, this is an australian feral pig, and he will grow to be 100kg and will not be loved and adored the way he is now, he will either be given away to a farmer who may eat him, or dumped at a shelter when he ain't so cute anymore.

  • VOICE OF DOOM!

  • I see that u all just want to hear the happy side of it. someone here in the comments posted a link u can follow to hear the story of this pig - he is not going to remain a family pet.

My agenda is to educate people on the REALITY of exotics as pets. If you cannot commit to the animals physical AND emotional needs for their entire life, then you should not get one. THe majority of these "pets" wind up in shelters or worse. It is REALITY. And if you care about animals, you understand that.

  • Can't they feed Kingsford some form of growth suppressant so he can stay cute forever?

  • You don't know that is going to happen.

But thanks for bumming me out, I was happy watching that 3 min video until you slapped me with your self righteousness. I'm sure you're a vegan buddist, right?

  • oops, to the poster Dix994 below

  • I volunteer at a shelter for exotics and am involved in rescue for exotics. we have dozens of former "pet" pigs, with no room for the ones that continue to come in, and not enough adoptive homes. Not being self rightous, just realistic. People acquire or buy baby animals - no matter what kind - because they are small and cute, without any foresight or planning for the animal's future. Pigs are very smart, and ours are desperate for attention, sad to see them go from pets to barn animals.

  • That is not an australian feral pig. You are an ignorant ass that just likes to TROLL through good videos and try to convice people not to own any pets! Take your PETA-terrorist views & GO AWAY!

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I Lovee that Piggy!

    Such a cute thing! <3

  • Awesome pig!!!

    Bullshit for the Audio.

  • what kind of pig is he?

  • FOR AUDIO VERSION,go to:

    "latimesblogs(dot)latimes(dot)com"

and then type in "kingsford the pig" in the search.

PS....I have to write (dot) for the above address or it won't get posted on youtube, sorry.

  • doesn't it make you wonder why we legally torture these animals when they're livestock, but love them so much when we see them for the sweet, intelligent, companionable creatures they are?

  • amen
