I'm from Panama, and we have a problem with illegal Colombian nationals. They brought nothing but drugs and crime into our country. It used to be that you could sleep with your doors unlocked in the Capital. With all the illegals now, people living in the countryside have fortresses for homes. And for what?! As a (legal) immigrant I can tell you it's not that simple. My first language is English and I have a university education - and immigration procedures are often baffling to me. A myriad of complex forms that appear to change depending on which bureaucrat you're dealing with that day. Imagine the frustration of an immigrant without advanced English skills. If it's too hard to do it legally they will continue to do it by hopping fences.

I agree. I want Legal Immigration Reform. They used to have staggered legal immigration where they would import for a few years cut it off and allow for assimilation into American society. I'm all about assimilation. America's excellence it it's system, it takes a while before learning that system.
