Google "Starting Strength" routine. Do it. Drink a gallon of milk a day. Heavy weight, lots of food, lot's of rest. If you're not gaining weight, you're not eating. Also, if you're not squatting, you're not training.

Yay, gaining the muscle after recovering from an injury is the easiest time. Your muscles are remembering the strength, exercises, how to lift, etc those first few weeks and you gain quick. To gain weight you need calories, protein,high weight/low reps to failure, water, vitamins,fish oil,etc...gaining mass requires more work out of the gym than in it.
i think you people are taking this to personal...some times people need to try different things....trial and error...im sure the kid squats on other days....plus olympic lifts and running and conditiong are done to.....people say all this stuff but all that comes up is eat squat shit bench and deadlift
I don't mean any disrespect but how could you advocate bodybuilding over strength training for skinny guys? Curls, machines, etc. can work for someone who has already built a foundation of strength (1.5 x bw squat), but for skinny guys you have to focus on eating like crazy and compound exercises like squat, dead, bench, and press. btw I gained 9 pounds in my first three weeks strength training w/ about 4500-5000 cals/day. It's definitely not uncommon.
Man oh man are there some dumb people in this world. Gaining muscle is not a linear process and this kid came off an injury. For you slow people out there that likely means A. he likely had lost some weight because of the injury. B. He had been training already but those 3 weeks he gained the most mass because like I said gaining muscle is not a linear process.
If you really want to put on weight, get a lot of protein in your diet to recover quickly from each workout. One day do upper body and the next day do lower body. High reps are good to gain weight. I put on 21 lbs in 3 months just putting my mind and body into it. I was 178 and now im 199.
if you want to gain weight, you have to work all of your muscles. Why the hell would you just want to do upper body? This is shit. There are way better techniques on putting on muscle/weight and its about building every muscle you have. Not just the "guns" to make you look cooler. This guy is an idiot.
i'ma hard gainer and i do strength training to get more strength at a 4-6 rep pace, but when i moved to 8-12 rep muscle hypertrophy i put on 8 lbs of muslce in 5 weeks, it does works but everybodys body is different you gotta remember that.

listen dont take creatine, please its all water weight, i went from 130-135 using creatine in one month, but went back down to 132 during conditionging, plus it will dehydrate you, take PRIME, and protein shakes, just lift heavy on even days, and light on odd days.
heavy weigt builds bulk, and light weight builds tone/strength. it helps alot. im now 155
To get bigger muscles is simple> Lift heavier weights (1-3 rep max) and increase your Caloric intake.........side note: you want to stick to compound movements as closley as possible

Squat & Arnold Press

I suggest you check out Zach Even Esh. This is not training for football, and bodybuilders are not the biggest and strongest people...they are simply lean.
@AgainstAllOdds09 Bodybuilders like arnold, franco, ronnie and jackson all had a background in powerlifting, they did not attain their mass doing isolation work, they put on the most muscle when combining squats and deadlifts with potatoes, milk, red meat and vegetables
progression in the core lifts is what drives gains in weight, and if you look at matt kroc, jim wendler or andy bolton, they are not exactly small.
The guy in the video is not at a level where he should be curling anything.

Most of the guys doing Starting strength/Texas method gain 50-60lb in a year.
Squats/deadlifts/bench/strict press/powerclean/chins, and very little else.
Too much accessory work, or BB type stuff added to the big lifts is a no go when strength training.

listen dont take creatine, please its all water weight, i went from 130-135 using creatine in one month, but went back down to 132 during conditionging, plus it will dehydrate you, take PRIME, and protein shakes, just lift heavy on even days, and light on odd days.
heavy weigt builds bulk, and light weight builds tone/strength. it helps alot. im now 155

To get bigger muscles is simple> Lift heavier weights (1-3 rep max) and increase your Caloric intake.........side note: you want to stick to compound movements as closley as possible

Pretty easy to gain weight...I gained 40lbs in a year..lift heavy ( i used a 5x5 routine) and EAT..EAT TILL U CANT STAND LOOKING AT FOOD..and you will grow..not all will be muscle less your own roids , but anyhow , you will grow.

Hi I gained 30 kg since I started working out. (2years)
(16 years old 57-63kg > 18 years old 87-93kg)
I don't take protein supplements or creatine or anything.
Just eat eggs, rice, legums, chicken and fruits... fish... milk and all that stuff.
I used to get a little bit of fat mass when i went big but it didn't last long.
I do 3 big meals a day and I have a 6 pack. I train 3-5 times a week...

yeah i started about14 months ago just before i turned 15 and now im 16 and went up from 48--> 61 so 13 kg, but i have been at 61 since 1 month as my arm got injured but its nearly over so i cant wait to get back in the gym :) 93 is too buff though so im aiming more of the 78-82 type. thanks again :)

haha yeah i know the, "i want to be more buff" syndrome :P but im more of the type of person who would rather weight 80 kg and be soo ripped rather than 120 kg and big arms and veins but no lines at all. i want to be able to impress girls so i need to be able to run 5k well for training for sprinting for a relay race on sports day at my school .. then theyd all be like man hes so ripped, buff and he can run so fast :D :D haha

yes i did. 4x a week i train. i am now 20. i eat anywhere from 4-6 meals a day.yes i gained fat with it , its hard not to , but i can still see abs. not lean ripped looking abs like on tv but abs yes.

I have been doing 14 workouts about 3 for each body part, tricept, back, legs, shoulders bicept chest but someone told me thats too much and i can do 4 or 5 workouts with 4 sets each with 8-10 reps which is better help pleasee the workouts the 5 i would do are

Tricept Press Back
Dumbbells chest press
Standing side lateral raises
Squat & Arnold Press
if you have other tips please feel free to teach me

I suggest you check out Zach Even Esh. This is not training for football, and bodybuilders are not the biggest and strongest people...they are simply lean.

@AgainstAllOdds09 Bodybuilders like arnold, franco, ronnie and jackson all had a background in powerlifting, they did not attain their mass doing isolation work, they put on the most muscle when combining squats and deadlifts with potatoes, milk, red meat and vegetables
progression in the core lifts is what drives gains in weight, and if you look at matt kroc, jim wendler or andy bolton, they are not exactly small.
The guy in the video is not at a level where he should be curling anything.
