It didn't look clean to me, I like the OEM interior look before old school any day. It held up fine, throws are a tad longer as compared to the MGW I'm running now, because the stick is so damn long.
I like the MGW a lot anyways, plus I couldn't run my Hurst short throw on my TKO because it was T5/T45 short throw. Same with my Steeda Tri-Ax.
I recommend the MGW before anything else by far; makes life a lot nicer.
It starts engaging right before it get's beside the brake pedal, so ALL the way up top.
Ive adjusted it a few times, i have the firewall adjuster and the hole deal. Even checked it with the rear tire's in the air, and everything is perfect.... just a notchy ass tran's and Promotion Powertrain says its because I installed the throwout berring wrong.................. RIGHT.
That's actually worth looking into. A T-5's only reason for "notchy" shifting is either clutch disengagement problems or synchros acting up. If it's a clutch issue, you'll eat those synchros up. If it's a synchro issue well... rebuild time.
well I planed on pulling the trans to inspect the clutch this winter as its been chattering here and there.
ill install a new throwout bearing while im in there.
I made the point to promotion powertrain that it is a brand new transmission, and the issue had been there scene i got the trans. And that its more then likely a problem with THERE trans.
they decided to tell me that i was past my 30day warranty period and pretty much S.O.L.
Im thinking about a duel friction clutch..... it has a mccloud stage 3 clutch right now, it holds great and had no real issue other then some chattering here and there...... but its used from a buddy of mine who had it in a tko3550 with a t76 turboed fox.

ok. i see what your saying.
I have a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, and I like it alot, but its the only shifter ive tryed too. So i might pick up a MGW and see if its better.
my only complant its notchy going into gear, but i think thats just the was the T5 was built because its a "Cobra" from Promotion powertrain.

It's probably a clutch adjustment issue.... Is it on the floor or engaging up top?

Yeah, If I were you I'd replace the clutch while you're in there anyways, no sense in doin' it twice again.

What does your dad think of your car now?
I know his fox was pretty hopped up, but i dont think it was anything close to yours.
Xarmy187 2 years ago
It's not, both of his are still n/a, and the 84 1/2 just has a cam and 4.10's...
He just kinda smiles, hasn't felt this specific setup yet though, so kinda interested in what he says about it.

sould get him in the car and turn on the camera with out him knowing to get his reactions.
I would love to take my dad for a ride with the nitrous, but he live's in florida, and im in colorado.
