this happens frequently in all bird species. when they get older something clicks in them. but they do like you they just changed there brain chemistry and now have decided to show affection from a distance. also you could bring him in for a check up. but just remember even if your bird be 'trippin' right now still give it love. cause it still loves you just from a distance
