Not to be disrespectful to a guitar god, but Carlos is so adorable there on his stool with his little feet hanging down and his socks showing! ain't he??
OUT STAN DING. FLAWLESS VICTORY!! Otra que mother micro y memoria! El trio parece una delantera de ataque. Matthews como enganche y por sobre los costados tim y carlitos
I had been looking for this video forever....fucking amazing solos. And yes, Tim's solo blows the shit out of this song. Nails it. I was never interested in Dave Matthews band until now...wow.
This song is absolutely beautiful. It inspired me to want to learn how to play acoustic guitar. I could listen to it over and over and never tire of it.
Even though Dave is only playing 3 chords over and over at the end jam I could listen to that for hours!! Just his subtle little differences in rhythm are so so cool. Carlos and Tim were mind blowing! Such a treat..
Exelente... esta se la dedique a mi esposa cuando apenas teniamos un mes de novios, ahora estamos esperando a nuestro primer hijo depues de 6 años de relacion y cada vez que escucho esta cancion me acuerdo cuanto la amo...
santanas solo was brilliant, but the vibrance tim brings in his solo was absolutely amazing!! you can tell santana was thinking damnnn this guy is good!
This version pwns the other electric version where there are dancers prancing around on stage. If anything THIS should be the main version. Excellent acoustic solos Tim n Carlos!
This is all the things I would like to say to my ex-husband Bryan I am so sorry - I will love you for ever and ever Remember Santana at the Albert Hall and Hammersmith Odeon .Santana is the one.
it seems like it was really easy for this tim guy to do his solo's i did notice he is using very thin strings on his guitar which probably helps with the ease of some of those wild riffs plus gives a different sound compared to santana's classic sound
Santana is my favorite guitarist and in my opinion the best guitarist but he just got owned by Tim Reynolds during the solo (granted Tim is more of an acoustic guitarist where as Carlos lives and breathes his electric PRS Santana)
Santana was always better on the electric anyway. It is the sound and feel that you recognize him by. Tim's bread and butter is the acoustic. His solo's are godly, and way better than when he goes electric
It's Tim Reynolds dude, not Timmy. He has been playing with Dave for a long time and is recognized as one of the best acoustic guitarists alive. He writes alot of Dave's songs also.
pure shame at 1:22.. one fret down mr. Carlos.. I love you to death but you shouldve just clapped in the background.. or cowbelled or something... Timmy had the guitars...
this is sweet ass !!!...wouldnt it be fucking sweet if both tim, and carlos had their electric guitars...man, would've made it that much sweeter i think....still one bad ass rare find....
This is the first song I heard Dave Matthews sing. Clapton played "The Calling" on the same album, "Supernatural." One of my "Top Ten" albums ever, thank you Carlos Santana.
i also had an mp3 of this version n i was looking for the video of it...but all the videos of this song were somewhat pathetic..finally i found this video....this is relatively a slower version of this song...n im lovin it......
meravigliosa

Masterpiece. My favorite Santana song, by far.
The only thing I do not understand is why this is not the main version....
The other coked-up version completely destroys this song....

Funny how while they play, Santana looks frequently at Tim Reynolds and seems to think:
"You're so good, I wish I could play like you..."
Watch it again, you'll see...

type "&fmt=18" on the end of this video for a far better quality and sound -
love this song - its basically just the 3rd movement of the 3rd symphony by bhrams - but its such a fluid melody - wonderfull

andyweic321 2 years ago
@chumpey Nonsense. Either did Carlos own Tim.
trancered 1 year ago
@chumpey
They were not competing, so no one owned no one.
They were playing different guitars. Santana's was a nylon strings guitar while Tim's was a steel guitar. So the solos have to be different.
And each guitarrist plays different. Santana felt like play that way in that moment and Tim the same thing.
When Tim was born, Santana was a legend guitarrist already. There's no way Tim can owne Carlos!
You have to listen musicians as if they were uniques. Try not to compare them!
