the nook tablet has a gb of ram the kindle fire and the ipad only have 512mb of ram the nook tablet has a sd card slot the kindle fire and the nook tablet both don't have one the nook tablet is lighter than both and has the most advance Vivid view touch screen and has 11 hours of battery life longer than the ipad and the kindle fire the nook tablet also has free nook support and if you have angry birds on your nook tablet or color you can getmightyeaglefreeyoucanalsoge­tthe android market

@wel2myworld no the Amazon Kindle Fire is not an e-reader - it's defined as a tablet, as is the Nook Tablet (hence the name). They may not be as complex as the iPad, but they are definitely tablets and are considered much. The Kindle Fire is a great choice for those who don't want or can't afford an iPad.
