I think the same thing every time I watch this video. Cooley is a modern day Dylan, in terms of his lyrical abilities. He obviously isn't as prolific or universally admired and appreciated, but he's amazing.

Patterson Hood writes pretty good songs, but like he himself said...he'll write 30 songs, and they'll cut 6 or 7...Cooley'll write 3, and they cut 'em ALL!!!
With all due respect to EVERBODY, I wish I could write just ONE song that I felt was good enough to record...;-)
