You're right, but I think that the special one really is the good.

If you interrupt the Ritual you just get revenge, and the shadow leaves you alone - maybe because it finally sees that you don't want the orb. But Agrippa dies this way.

The other way you save Agrippa, get killed for using the portal - thus using the orb as well, kill Alexander and, sort of, Daniel dies as punishment for his past actions, thus loosing his big burden - before starting a new life.

My opinion.

The first ending is the bad ending, but the second one was the Revenge ending, and the third one is the good ending. the special ending is unlocked using the codes given at the end of every ending combined into a password on a password protected file in the game files. just sayin.

The fourth ending is obtained when you stand still in the cell after the servants capture you. You have to stand in there for ~ 10 minutes, and then you get the ending.

The password protected file (called super_secret.rar) is just a collection of extra things, like artwork, early gameplay, etc. But there eis no actual "fourth ending" in it.

there are actually 4 endings :( Another ending: When Alexander locks you in the cell and tells you to remain there and be killed by the shadow, do not escape.

Bad ending: Wait for Alexander to open, then enter the portal.

Good ending: Wait for Alexander to open the portal. Then, place Agrippa's head into it.

Revenge ending: While Alexander is waiting for the portal to open, push over the three pillars that are giving it energy.

When I first played this I thought there was only one ending because Agrippa said "Whatever happens get me through that gate" so I put his head in the portal and was really unsatisfied, but then I found out there were two other endings and I tried them out. I really like the good ending lol.

If you played the game and read the letters around the game (you can read at Wikipedia about the game, too) that Daniel (the character you control) wanted badly revenge on Alexander. He tricked Daniel to torture people because Alexander said that would keep the Shadow away from him, he lied. At last he abandoned Daniel after lots of tortures while the Shadow still followed him. It made Daniel mad, because he think that Alexander made him to a monster.

You missed the ending where you don't escape the prison cell in about 5 minutes and the shadow comes and kills you, its practically the same as the bad ending, with the same dialogue aswell, so if you wanna see it you can but it's not much.

There is a fourth ending, if you remain in the cell after being captured by servants. Eventually the shadow reaches your cell and you are killed in the same style as the bad ending, and receives the same thanks from Alexander.

bad ending-Alexander returns home all powered up and daniel basically goes to hell and gets tortured for eternity

good ending-Alexander dies and daniel escapes Brennenburg

bad ending-Alexander and daniel both die. Alexander goes to hell but daniel gets sent to heaven with aggripa

@LoboFan1000 Sort of. The "hell" that Daniel is sent to is actually the dark void that makes up the inside of the Shadow (since it consumes him). Considering darkness is Daniel's worst fear, I guess you could call it hell, since he is trapped with his worst fears for all eternity...

Where Daniel is reunited with Agrippa, and also Weyer, I think is the true good ending. They all go to a better place, whatever you consider it, as those 3 were all good men on the inside. What sort of life would Daniel have lead after escaping Brennenburg anyway... ? Not a life worth continuing I'm sure, with that guilt. Leaving with Agrippa was the best way out.
