Thank you for identifying the different sizes of the 1911. I knew there were different sizes just weren't sure, It is good to learn from all people. 1 critique though, it would be to good practice a 'safety check' and clear the weapon when starting the video, this weapon appeared to be cocked and locked and your left hand was over the muzzle of a 'uncleard' weapon, that is very dangerous. I don't mean to be rude in offering the critiques. Your video is very helpful, thanks for posting it...

Nah, but more serious-like: i was thinking about the Springfield Loaded Long Slide versus the Para Ordnance Super Hawg (8+1 capacity). Do you have any opinion on one versus the other? The two companies seem to make respectable 1911s, but the Springfield just has a sharper look about it. I haven't fired either so i was wondering if you could give me two cents.

In my life I've only ever fired a Lee Enfield rifle, but that was rested against something so I could get a bit more accuracy, so I don't really know what kind of proper kick it would have standing.

You're producing a video that other people, who aren't as experienced, are going to watch and emulate. You may know you cleared a weapon, but they don't. yeah 1911s pwn and you can always customize them(most of them)with some serious mods just check out the 2004 punisher extended mags three port compensaters different triggers and some other stuff that i dont recall right now
I have a Kimber .45 model 1911 classic custom. Do you know the difference between it and the custom II??? I can see the trigger design is different but I don see much else...
The classic custom doesnt have the firing pin safety. That was introdused on the custom II. The firing pin safety works in addition to the grip safety so it blocks the firing pin not just the trigger.
There really is nothing more dangerous than a really smart pretty woman who is armed, and probably knows more about your gun then you do lol. I mean that in a good way.
@ChromeDove All of the holsters I have already reviewed are available for the SR9. Since the SR9 is similar in size proportions to a 1911 you can see how well the holster would work for your gun in my videos.
I used to carry a 1911 colt defender It felt and carried great but kept jamming on me. I traded for a H&K USP 45 with a double / single action once I got use to the DASO I got hooked so it is ether the sig or HK for me... Do not get me wrong if you wanted to buy me a 1911 for my birthday I would take it.

The person I bought it from was an old man, who didn't know what he was talking about... I couldn't pass it up though, so I decided to fix her up, I need to dremel out the chamber to improve feeding.
That's about the sixth time that has happened. I'm not sure why it does. Just know that I have never and probably will never pull a video unless I remake it in which event I would say so.

That is a common bug and happens on other videos I've seen. Usually if you try again it comes up. I just watched your vids on the 1911 for the first time and never had an issue. This happens to me occasionally with other vids however. No worries.
im not being a snob but i visited the browning home in navu Illinois late July of 2008 on a trip to the tempol in navu so its still fresh in my memory that browning culd not produce the 1911 model do to money issues so thay sold the design patten to colt or something like that forgive my reading dyslexia

I have a Kimber .45 model 1911 classic custom. Do you know the difference between it and the custom II??? I can see the trigger design is different but I don see much else...

The classic custom doesnt have the firing pin safety. That was introdused on the custom II. The firing pin safety works in addition to the grip safety so it blocks the firing pin not just the trigger.

No.. In a full-size, government frame you can get mags that allow for 8+1 capacity magazines.

@ChromeDove All of the holsters I have already reviewed are available for the SR9. Since the SR9 is similar in size proportions to a 1911 you can see how well the holster would work for your gun in my videos.

I used to carry a 1911 colt defender It felt and carried great but kept jamming on me. I traded for a H&K USP 45 with a double / single action once I got use to the DASO I got hooked so it is ether the sig or HK for me... Do not get me wrong if you wanted to buy me a 1911 for my birthday I would take it.

I think I own a Colt Government, UPPER full five inch barrel, but the Mag cap is like, one round short...
So, I have an Officer Frame... this is one ulgy M1911A1.
Upper- Government
Frame- Officer
The person I bought it from was an old man, who didn't know what he was talking about... I couldn't pass it up though, so I decided to fix her up, I need to dremel out the chamber to improve feeding.

That is a common bug and happens on other videos I've seen. Usually if you try again it comes up. I just watched your vids on the 1911 for the first time and never had an issue. This happens to me occasionally with other vids however. No worries.

im not being a snob but i visited the browning home in navu Illinois late July of 2008 on a trip to the tempol in navu so its still fresh in my memory that browning culd not produce the 1911 model do to money issues so thay sold the design patten to colt or something like that forgive my reading dyslexia
