seems to me a bit of a different direction to me. take for example from This is Twice Now

"Hailey, I was sick and I'm still quite unwell.

and then from this song when he says "Paint it golden" is kinda like a silver lining to me. Now its more like hope...instead of hopelessness

If so, I agree with you. I felt there was potential in their 3 opening songs--''hailey'' especially-- but after that they seemed to rely too heavily on old tactics. a side note: sometimes I wonder too if their bridges were even necessary in some songs.

@amiapunk88 It doesn't make it any less true though, she has a voice, i'm sorry, is just not unique. But his voice, you could always tell. It's unlike any voice I've ever heard. While the loss of any band member is difficult I think the loss of her is an acceptable one.
