  • I just recently got the 2-cd reissue of this album , this has been one of my favorite albums for a good while . Green was amazing .

  • Gary Moore is a great player but Peter Green got more out of his Les Paul than Moore......and Moore has got Green's Les Paul!

  • I remember seeing John and Peter for the first time in Brighton at the Florida Rooms (or was it called the Cadillac Club at the time) and it was this song that confirmed, for me anyway, that Peter could fill Eric's place in the band. I only wish I'd had a movie camera at that time.

    Yeah, this single was recorded just after Eric had left the band and the Beano album was hot (September 1966). Peter's Les Paul was obviously still "in phase" and on this track he sounded a lot like Clapton did on the Beano album, only with a little more reverb.
