I was told that a 747 800 costs 380 million to build. This direct from a Boeing employee.

30 Hours? This airplane takes months to build unless everything goes perfectly which does not happen much because miles of wiring etc.

That's bloody brilliant when you think about it! All 280,000 tonnes of metal made in 51 days! Not bad.... I'd like to see how long it takes to make a 747 =D
