Oh you have so just taken me down memory lane, my 1st hike ever was crib in mid winter and heavy snow, not unitl we returned to the lodge and read how on how how dangerous this route was, AMAZING!! Did the a few more routes that summer and boy I'm lucky to say I have experienced both the most clearest day and the harshest winter there, Why go abroad?
I was asked if I fancied a walk in Wales once. Our leader told us he was taking us on a scramble. It wasn't till I'd done it that I realised how perilous it could have been. Great fun though. We did the entire horseshoe and I now consider that day to be in the top 5 days of my life. Brilliant.
Yikes! Not for me...bottled out yesterday even tho the weather was good. Went up the Watkin Path instead. Top section of that route turned out pretty hairy in parts as recent heavy rain washed out the path in places and created some confusing and unstable false trails. Got there in the end - maybe good training for CG next time.
hey just did that this weekend! amazing fun but i did have to change my pants every three minutes! didnt have the guts to film it, was hanging on too tightly!
oxygene65...do it mate it's not as bad as it looks. Keep right on the top all the way and you can't go wrong...well you can fall off!...but hey, you only live once.
Nice vid lads, did it few weeks back, lovin it, back in May.
