Such a beautiful nova!..also have the same madel and this just inspired me lol...also what kind of air filter is that you have on there?..not sure if that triangular thing is called the air filter ( im only 16 lol) but people help me haha..thanks
@MPI101 we get stuff from Classic Industries, Year One, and ss396.com and a few other smaller sites. Classic Industries will send you an entire catalog with just nova parts. about an inch thick.
@MPI101 thanks alot, Just got my catalog from year one today, and Classic Industries its on its way also. But I cant find the headlight aluminum trim anywhere.
@wgking28 I wish....... Too busy trying to live the Dream right now!! Maybe in the future once we get a little better, or get a few more full builds under our belts.
@metalmulisha19 yeah. just made them out of some lexan. cost like 2 bucks. check out the other vids and you'll see the black outs we made for the headlights. Same thing, just has reflective window tint on the back.
Be carefull with that plastic your using for the paintbooth...the overspray will collect on the plastic and then flake off and fall on the car...more than likely during your clearcoat application...i had to refinish a guys 65 impala because he painted it in his garage and used palstic in that same manner.
damn dude,,, the rear fender mod looks awesome,,, i never thought of that,,, i was planning on shaving all door handles and keyholes, except the trunk lock,, and i am going to narrow the bumpers on the ends to hug the car tight, and somehow make a "phantom" grille to cover up the headlights,to look sotra like an old riviera, 4 link , air ride , and some nice meaty big billets,,
Man this Video is awesome, I've got the EXACT same car sitting in my garage, the beginning stages though. 74 nova, ps and pdb from the factory. Same color, exact same condition, I just gotta do all that hard work you guys have already done, awesome video, best for me I've ever seen. I like that funky music also. An inspiring Video for me.
Hey man nice car.... I also have 1974 Nova, not a hatchback though, that i am still restoring. I just wanted to ask you did you take out the back plastic where the bumper goes or did you just put the bumper closer to the body....
Funny you asked, I just pulled mine off this weekend(74 from other video)!! I removed the bumper filling completely. It clips on to a metal lip, and that lip is enough to fill the gap with the exception of the indented area under the tag flap. I'm going to cut a piece and clip it there, and on the corners in front of the fenders for a cleaner look!
Nice...diggin' the extend rear fenders...I start my 74' next week, picked it up for $50 bucks out in the sticks.
