  • he quits and he ends.

  • This sounds horrible..

  • Jason Newsted playing guitar...? Jesus that's kinda weird!

  • I can hear Metallica roots in these compositions and even Sabbath. Jason comes from many backgrounds and career transcentions. -rjd

  • Jason is a complete musician, he is better than metalica shit!!!

  • LOL

  • thx guys ;)

  • @NSK33060

why he is a loser? because he has the balls to quit a band like Metallica???

    Shut up asshole

  • Jason..my hero...my inspiration...I even get a haircut like him...(when he has long hair)

  • Jason Newsted. My hero.

  • Yeeeaahhhh!!!!!

It's so nice to see Jason playing and singing!!!

    I love this guy!!!!

    MORE MORE MORE!!!!!!!!

  • what about the name of these two songs ?

  • @zaproud The first song is from LOUDMOUTH "Not Free"

But honestly, I prefer the Jason's version

  • @zaproud the second song is "His Scales are His Pride "

  • anyone knows the title of this song? ;D It's awesome!

  • @PanLeperMessiah LOUDMOUTH "Not Free" (1999)

  • jason is a fucking superstar

  • Wow...sounds like some dirty old skool grunge rock! Nice!

  • i miss jason being in metallica

  • Jason Newsted, no matter how hard his life has going through in the past few years but he still the old Jason. He never lost his passion and energy. That's what make his presence felt.

  • Really good. His voice sounds great, even has better energy than James nowadays. I love Metallica and I love this guy. Great memories!

  • Wow, this is amazing.

  • I like it it's raw and in your face.

  • Comment removed

  • and i was wondering if theres something worst than lulu ...my god

  • fantastic performance

  • killer clip....!

  • Papa Wheelie on 107.7 The Bone ....great information on upcoming dates.

  • you know what ?! i really like this guy !!! Jason you are the best !!! :D

  • Second song is 'His Scales Are His Pride.'

  • Better than Lulu ...

  • Good to see Jason playing live :)

    Metallica without Jasonic don`t exist!

  • If you like Papa Wheelie check out Orbiter 500 my other project I play bass,Let me know what you think!

  • "We aint good, but we're loud."

    Agreed.

  • hes still got it :)

  • damn, its awesome seeing Jason playing music again!

  • I'm sure Lars will end up watching this video somehow. So, Lars: GET. JASON. BACK... NOW.

  • I really like this!

  • jason's guitar sounds an awful lot like cliff's bass! intentional or not, that's fine by me

  • He loves doing that. And it is the most important thing. Hail to Jason and i wish all the best for this man.

  • fucking awesome!!!...better than new metallica's compositions

  • his voice kills

  • Fantastic footage! Looks like they're having a ball playing! :)

  • very good !

  • Is there anything better than already have enough money to live your life and do what you REALLY like?

  • Fucking awesome!

  • I'm a huge fan of Jason, I think Metallica lost too much when James fired him but, in my opinion Jason must keep on playing the bass, he hasn't had the right way to face himself up the task of playing an electric guitar. However his voice's still fucking great!

  • @beserk27 If you saw these shows, I think you'd see things differently. The energy is typical Jason.

Why should he be tied to just the bass? It's that kind of thinking that probably helped him decide to walk.

  • @shitfer

Jason will never lose his energy and if you've attended one of these gigs you may've felt this energy on his songs properly and, through the videos, I could see he's in a perfect form to play. But I'm not compalining about his energy when he plays, it's too odd to me see Newsted playing an electric guitar. When I think about him I imagine a fucking guy handbanging and howling whilst he smashes up his bass, not a musician on a guitar. But if he feels comfortable at playing it...

  • That was fucking awesome

  • weak sludge metal but he has a good voice

  • Oi Los, thanks for putting J-Bone's show up on here. Being that I'm out here in New York, it's been a long whiles since I've seen him in person (Echobrain) and I thank you so much for doing this, totally made my day. @ X1ju- Agreed! ::claps::

  • Ladies and Gentlemen

    MISTER JASON NEWSTED!!!

  • I like this bassist's approach to a guiar playing. Very energetic songs, good video quality. Thanks for upload!

  • Ябошь ДЖЕЙСОН!!

  • Wowwww,Jason's vocal is fucking good :D So Secrety

  • @Ibanezibor He sound better than Mr. Hetfield ;).

  • @rammsteineer

Yea,i agree with you,Hetfield doesnt have that vocal today which he had in early times,Jason still have vocal ;]!

  • @Ibanezibor

    Good vocal*:P

  • @Ibanezibor Because Jason is Master ;). I think that he should sing more songs, when he was in Metallica, and change James in more songs. Sorry for my English.

  • This is fucking awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can't believe that Metallica don't accept Jason all those years, he is just awesome. The best bassist in the world, and also good guitarist :).

  • @rammsteineer

    and also good singer

  • @Ibanezibor That's true, I forgot to write that, when I'm start to listing the Live version of Creeping Death I only wait for the moment when Jason singing his part :). The best vocal in my opinion it's on the concert from Moscow in 1991 :).

  • I have loads of respect for Jason that he left the golden money-shitting boat named Metallica because he wanted to rock hard instead of doing some sissy-princess stuff. Keep it up Jason! And respect to the rest of the guys too.

  • thanks for posting!! long time that I was waiting to see what is Jason doing nowadays! would be awesome to have more song!!

  • I really want a new album with these guys!

  • Welcome back, Jason! Please keep healthy so we can enjoy your music, buddy! Peace

  • looks like it's time to sign with relapse or southern lord lol

  • he's playing bass on the guitar

  • awesome, thanks for posting!

the song starting at 3:45 is titled "His Scales Are His Pride" btw

  • Are you going to their concert at the Regency in San Francisco on Nov. 19?....Please post more PW videos....they are truly a awesome band....JASON the MASTER bassist and guitarist

  • @ironfistgal Opening for Anvil! Thurs & a few local shows before that. Check 'em out. PW, Sword,Kyuss is gonna be a killer.

  • Big fat song!

  • So good to still see and hear Jason. Hope this project will raise up. Having hopes to see them one day. Classic stuff.

  • Good video - look forward to seeing some more. Papa Wheelie look like great fun. I still love Metallica but I do think they lost something when Jason left, especially live as he was (is) so intense and great to watch. Papa Wheelie look like a lot of fun - really hope they come to England.

  • I was there papa wheelie rocks.

  • Good job evilcarlos. I think I have the back of your head in my footage. Yours is much better than my flipcam crud. Great show. Got anymore footage?

    btw - 30 minute set.

  • @shitfer Thanks shitfer, were you the tall guy in the back...the same guy that was at the Mexican restaurant right next to Time Out before the show? I believe I got one or two more songs...I will upload them later.

  • @evilcarlos Tall yes. Mexican restaurant, no. I was right behind you. I haven't looked at my footage yet, but I'm not expecting much. As soon as I shut my cam off, I regretted it. The next song killed.

    Looking forward to more. Thanks.

  • So RAD you captured the moment!! Thanks for posting;)

  • Thanks for posting that. I've been following Papa Wheelie for a while now. In my opinion, Metallica really lost their masculinity when Jason left. Watching Robert & Kirk trying to fill Jason's vocal shoes is a little humorous in a sissy kind of way.

I'm looking forward to seeing Papa Wheelie live at some point. How long did they play since they were the opening band?

  • @markvitalseo Hey thanks for viewing...like @shitfer said, they played about 30 minutes. Cool show.
