Hossa had aboslutly no playoff credentials before this season. He blossomed when he was surrounded with good talent, aka Sid The Kid. Detroit is an old team getting older. Although the Wings do have Zetterbitch and Datsuck, the core of their team is going over the hill. Give them a few years and they won't even make the playoffs. The Pens are a young team that kept most of their stars and now has the playoff experience needed to win a cup.

Hossa had aboslutly no playoff credentials before this season. He blossomed when he was surrounded with good talent, aka Sid The Kid. Detroit is an old team getting older. Although the Wings do have Zetterbitch and Datsuck, the core of their team is going over the hill. Give them a few years and they won't even make the playoffs. The Pens are a young team that kept most of their stars and now has the playoff experience needed to win a cup.

salvadorsobral14-the wings are not really that old of a team. nick lidstrom is are oldest guy who makes a difference and i bet he is going to play for another 5 years sooo. and other than that we have zetterberg,datsyuk,kronwall,sammuelson,flippula,hudler,hartigan,and so on. and they are only gonna get better. plus, the wings always pick up decent draft picks who will help so really anyone would tell you the wings will always be a good competing team.

Hossa was a rental player that lead the Penguins in the playoffs...his clutch goals and final round production was better than what Crosby did with his few goals and a smaller production in the finals.

fleury is a good goaltender but he is not amazing. osgood is only 35 and remember when hasek was in ottawa? he was in his 40's and was the starting goaltender and they gave up the fewest goals. so dont tell me a 35 year old cant play good anymore. and osgood could of very well been the starter last year. think what you want but osgood was better than fleury in the playoffs, and didnt do bad in the reg season either.

I just think it's immature to 'turn' on the guy like that, but then again I think it's ridiculous that he would leave to the team he just lost to in the SCF so that he 'can' win the Cup, instead of stepping up and helping the team that lost so much to get him here.
