I agree, I've been playing for 30yrs and DAddario strings give you more tonal versatility and those Steve Vai and Joe Satriani squeals and harmonics like nothing out there on the market. If all you do is bang out power chords I guess GHS is ok but if you love playing lead and virtuoso style playing there simply is NO substitute for DAddario! They rock like no other!!!
I appreciate your loyalty, Eliot, but GHS makes and sells strings for every scenario you mention here...with options, even. I've been a GHS endorser since 1998, and they treat me with the same respect that they give their A-listers...I think that makes a pretty strong statement on their part.
