wow! this is much more sophisiticated than mine! i just made one to see if i could cut our electricity bill. haven't managed to try it out yet. need some sun here in england!

This is designed to be made locally in third world cities with simple basic hand tools. Materials for construction can be substituted . Cooking temp is 250F on cool sunny days- cake takes 1.5 hr to bake --variables in sun and amount of food affect cooking time a bit.

Looks very durable. Is this designed to be locally manufactured? What temperature did the oven reach? How long did it take to cook the cake?

nicely looking built oven. I made a solar oven myself. the auburn wood trim looks nice.
